I find it interesting that when the City of Sheffield started the process of the approval of Sunday alcohol sales that several people have expressed an interest in opening a club in Sheffield. Currently, there are three new clubs trying to open in Sheffield and I suspect others will join them after the Sunday sales are approved. One in the old Sports Rock Club location next to the Holiday Inn, one on Jackson Highway at Broadway and the newest, the Quad Cities Sports Knock Club in the old Family Dollar store building on South Montgomery.

Not to be outdone, there are an additional three clubs in the process of opening or reopening in Littleville. The Tequila Club where Castaways was on Hwy 43, O’Malley’s is moving to Littleville from Jasper on Hwy 43 in the old Hotskee’s location and the Oasis is working to correct some issues after being closed by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Littleville already allows Sunday sales in private clubs.

I did not know until last week that Hog’s and Heifer’s had closed in Tuscumbia, but probably not for long.

Don’t be surprise of some of the other cities follow suit allowing Sunday sales if Sheffield is successful with the excuse that Sunday sales are needed to promote the economy, area development and as an attraction to some restaurants.

Hogs & Heifers Saloon Review
This New York City-based bar was the original inspiration for the film "Coyote Ugly" (and the subsequent chain of bars/clubs). "The only person with attitude in the bar is the woman behind it" is the philosophy at Hogs & Heifers, and frills are nowhere to be found: no specialty ****tails, no dress codes, no ties, no guest list, and no whining are allowed.
I would say thats who got on them about the name.
