I have a friend who lives over there and this is "hear say"...but the guy shot was the neighbor and the shooters were kicked out of their apartment earlier in the week from alot of complaints from neighbors. So the victims apartment was shot up in revenge. Also heard that last night the victims truck was set on fire. MSPD came out on that inncident. Williamsburg is a really nice and quiet complex, just shows you that anything can happen.

Ok, so I live right beside the dude that got shot and underneath the dude that shot him. He did not get kicked out of the apt. because of complaints i dont think. And i dont believe the guy got shot because of him getting kicked out. I have my own ideas of why. The guy that got shot is a nice guy. He only got shot in his hand though so he should be ok. and yes the guy did try to set his truck on fire.

It might be your upbringing, but you shouldn't call anybody a "dude".

I'm sure that you don't want to hear me start preaching (I'm no preacher), but I have been hearing that word out on the street for over 30 years. To some people that word is offensive as much as using the "n" word.

Instead of calling them "dude" why couldn't have said the "person that lives" or the "male/female that lives"

My friend if you walk up to someone that you personally know, you should call them by their name. Please don't say "HEY DUDE".

I personally feel like bringing slang language into everyday usuage is just one of the downfalls of our nation.

I assure you, money does not and cannot buy class. There are people in every neighborhood in the US that act as if they have had NO rasing at all.

bamablonde - . Seeing that you have first hand knowledge of the situation, your input is appreciated. My sister lived in these apartments for a long while and my cousin did also. They never had any type of problems.
Woah, DUDE! No freaking wonder you cant speak anymore without offending someone...people get pissy over the least little thing like saying DUDE instead of 'the guy that lives there'. Like it or not, DUDE is a very common way to talk about people today. I dont care what it may have meant 30 years ago. It may not be the most proper, but its not offensive in any way so I dont see any problem in using it.

Dude! I bet that one dude who got shot is really pissed at the dude who shot him. I just wish some other dude would have saw what happened so the dude who shot the other dude would be sure not to get off easy. If this dude does not get punished he might shoot some other dude. This dude should really do some time in prison. Maybe there some other dudes could help him see that shooting another dude just isn't right. Know what I mean, dude?

210 N. Seminary, why don't you just lay off bamablonde? Just read what she wrote instead of being a language critic. It's pretty annoying when we are trying to read about a serious situation, then have to see you correct spelling or grammar. Get a grip and grow up.
210, why do you feel the need to call down so many other people on the forums? i'm not a particular fan of the word 'dude' either, but goodness gracious! why do you do this?

you did this exact same thing on another thread - your first comment was taking someone to task for welcoming me to the forums. you had nothing to say about the actual thread topic. and then on another thread, you called out 'roofer' about about a comment you totally mistook the meaning of, demanding he explain to you what he meant (when most everyone else already understood what he meant). if you have something real to say, by all means, say it. but why do you feel the need to be the forum etiquette police?

what is motivating you to do these things?

sorry, friends, for getting off track. 210 is just getting on my cyber nerve. i honestly don't understand why 210 does this. third time's a charm; i had to say something.
