Your mistaken me for someone else. I was the one asking him to come back. My mistake oops.

My point here is with his beternU attitude, Should he just lie and not be chasized for it?

I know if I did it he would have never let me forget it. I'm just poking him this one time on

this mater. That's all.

If you are going after better, then have at it. I have not been reading this much so I missed that. I did see a lot make fun of Bill and say they were glad he left. Then he posts, and he is attacked again. Bill and I don't agree on much, but without different views, the world is a boring place.

My apologies skippy if I made a mistake.

Hey Road Puppy,

I was nice to him and invited him back just for good debate.

Well after he said he wouldn't he did. That's fine but he doesn't have to be such a jerk.

Sure he's nice to you what do you care?

These forums are for the expression of your opinions. Bill has one. He is welcome to voice that opinion, and you are welcome to disagree. I doubt if anyone here is  hounded as much as he is. He gets it from EVERYBODY. It must get old, but he sticks to his guns because he believes he is doing the right thing. I see him stand up for his side a lot...who wouldn't? He must believe in what he's doing or he would have left a looong time ago. I know I couldn't take the constant bashing from everybody. Kudos for toughing it out Bill.

Now this doesn't mean that I ain't gonna take a shot every now and then.

Hi all,

This discussion begun by Dwight/Skippy is typical of Mormon Evangelism -- do not answer any questions -- use misdirection to  confuse folks if they begin to ask questions.  I call this "misdirection" style used by Dwight/Skippy the "Mormon Two Step" -- for all  Dwight/Skippy can do is dance around.

Did I seriously consider leaving the Religion Forum?  Yes.  Why did I change my mind?  Because I would not leave all those folks  who come here to read -- at the mercy of Mormons, atheists, secularists, and other non-believers.  So, because I feel an obligation  to all those Friends -- I had to bite the bullet and learn to work within the new system.

Do I like the new format?  No, not really.  There are good features which are nice; but, there are others -- such as no names showing  who began a discussion, and avatars which are far too large.  It is not as easy to scan activity in other forums.  And, it is a real pain  trying to jump between the front page, obit, and other sections -- and the forums.

On the other hand, it is much easier to format text.  This offers great possibilities to allow folks to write and post cleaner, neater  looking posts.  Of course, the person has to want his/her writing to resemble good English for this to happen -- and, some will just  never care.   And, a spell checker would only confuse Dwight/Skippy's world.

But, Dwight/Skippy, just to make sure we are all on the same page -- this is my original post regarding the new format:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

YOUR NEW FORUM FORMAT IS A DISASTER

To the TimesDaily Management and Staff,

You have ruined the TimesDaily Forum section.  You have taken a very successful section -- and destroyed it.  If you will look at  your own statistics, as of last week you had 11,465 registered Forum Members -- and an untold number of readers who come on the  TimesDaily Forum section only to read, but never registered.

I registered on the  TimesDaily Forums in January 2007 and at that time you had about 5,000 registered members.  In that period of  over four years -- I have written over 10,500 posts; and there are a number of other registered members who have been just as active,  or more so, than me.  This is why you have 11,465 plus registered members on the Forums plus the many thousands who do not  register, but come to read.  We give them stimulating thoughts, ideas, and issues to discuss.  Yes, most Forums are only "spitting  contests" -- and we do have some of that on the TimesDaily Forums.  But, in spite of that, we do have the best, most  productive forum for the exchange of ideas that I have found anywhere during my fifteen years on the internet.

The TimesDaily Forums is both a great community service -- it is also a prime spot for local advertisement.

For the four and a half years I have been on the TimesDaily Forums; I have not found another with such a successful format and with  such active membership/readership.  Today, that ended.  Today, you destroyed the successful format you have had over the years,  a format which, along with provocative posts -- has brought many members and readers to the TimesDaily web site; readers who  also buy products from your advertisers.

To make small changes in a format would have been no major problem.  But, to totally throw out your success story, the best forum  format on the market -- and bring in a very poor replacement is, at best, very poor judgment.

I ask you, no, I beg you -- please restore the  TimesDaily Forum format which has been so successful for you -- and for all your  Forum members and readers.

For myself, today marks the end of a great four and a half year relationship.  Even if I wanted to learn your new format, I  would not bother.  If I had just, by chance, come to the TimesDaily Forum section today for the first time -- I would have left  immediately -- for it has absolutely no appeal aesthetically nor is it user friendly.  I guess the best thing I can say about your new  Forum format -- is that a train wreck would be more attractive.   At this point, all I can say is:  TimesDaily Forums - RIP!

Thank you for reading this.  I pray that you will sincerely consider what I have written.

So, Dwight/Skippy, now that I have addressed the issue so close to your heart -- WHY DID BILL COME BACK? -- maybe you will  answer some questions for me.

1.  Was your Mormon god a man before he became a god?  Is he still an exalted man?

2.  Does your Mormon god have a father?  If so, who was the original Mormon man/god father -- and where did he come from if all  Mormon gods have fathers?  Who was the original father -- and where did he come from?

3.  Will YOU become a Mormon god and have your own planet?

4.  How many men have become Mormon gods with their own planets?  And, with that, how many gods do the Mormons have?

Appreciate your answers.

God bless,  have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

By the way, Dwight/Skippy,

A "POLL" is what is used to gain information and opinions from people.

A "POLE" is what folks tell you to sit on when you have become a pain in the behind.

But, I will give you the benefit of the doubt -- for this is one that a spell checker, if you had one, would not have caught.

However, will you please explain to us the different Mormon heavens.  I can relate to a Celestial heaven; but what are the TELESTIAL and TERRESTRIAL heavens?  Will you please explain these three heavens to me and our Forum Friends?

Thank you and God bless,  have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Spell check is your friend, comes free with Windows - or Internet Exploiter, or something on every computer currently manufactured - and, those that won't use it should be voted off the island.  As to whether Bill should have stayed gone - that gets down to a matter of credibility, which Bill hasn't had for a while.

Now this doesn't mean that I ain't gonna take a shot every now and then.

I tend to stay out of the religion forum and religious discussions in general for that matter, mostly cause it always seems to just be so futile and eventually turns into an often bitter "my god can beat up your god" type of thing. Just wanted to say I agree with bluetick 100% with everything he said here though.

As you were.

Personally I didn't take Bill's statement s a promise to leave unless they reverted to the old format.  I took it as saying he might leave and that he felt the new format would hurt the forum but not as a promise to leave unless it was changed back.  I also remember others who posted a "last" post saying that they were leaving the forum only to continue to return and stay.  We can all have our limits tested and sometimes I need to take a vacation from it (the forum).

As you were.

Thank you, Blue and Dark,

I will always make sure to be wearing my flack helmet!   There is no reason our Forum discussions cannot be civil -- even when we strongly disagree.  After all, we all learn as much or more from disagreements, than we do in agreements.  Trust me, this Religion Forum has been an advanced degree in Christian Apologetics for me.

In a way, this is rather funny -- for just today I shared in our church about a -- let's call it a "God thought" for lack of a better description -- I had as I was getting ready for church.  As I was shaving, I was thinking about the Forum and our posts.  A thought came into my head.  Did I put it there -- or did God?  But, as I was thinking about the Forum and the many disagreements we experience -- the thought came to me, "If no one ever disagreed with me -- I would have to be doing something wrong!"

Why?  Because then I would be like the many "Feel Good" preachers who will say only what people want him to say.   Yes, I could only write what " everyone" wants to hear -- never ruffle any feathers -- and most folks would think, "Oh, he is such a nice guy."

But, which is more important -- folks thinking Bill Gray is a nice guy -- or that one person who is ready to hear the truth of God's Word, that one person who just may be making an eternal decision today -- and needs to hear the Truth?  Trust me, that person is much more important than Bill Gray's feelings.

So,  even though no one likes to be the target of rocks -- I will take it as a badge of honor if what I write will help one soul find eternal life in Christ.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

personally... i wish bill had stayed gone.

however, he never promised to leave, he juts said he didn't like the new format and wouldn't be back, and then changed his mind.

eved bill is allowed to change his mind.

he does twist the meansing of bible verses into something moses himself wouldn't recognize, he does promote hatred and discrimination in the name of christ, and he will lead people to the hell that he claims to have the only map out of, and he does lie....

but this wasn't one of those times.

i don't mind if you wanna roast bill alive... i'll bring the marshmallows.... but at least do it for something he's guilty of.

I've never liked that crappy show anyway.

Although BeternU/Bill, who ever he is, quotes scripture, it's all in the interpretation. Most of

the time he has his own interpretation, different from most. I never quoted anything other than

the Bible's Scripture in this forum. As far as my spelling, sorry I'm not a perfect speller and don't

know how to spell check on-line. As far as BeternU/Bill's interpretation of the Bible, He has

stated that he interprets the Bible saying there was no rain or seas before Noah. I don't see it

in the Bible. Especially when in the creation the lord discribes creating all the creatures from

the waters.     Genisis 1:20-- And God said, let the waters bring forth abudantly the moving creature

that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Genisis 1:22-- And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in

the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

Also this is an oppinion POLL. I in know way am wanting or expecting this OLD BOY to leave.

It would be nice though if he wasn't such a JERK.
