Shrimp for fish bait

In salt water, I use shrimp often, but nor sure about fresh water.

Changing the subject, sorta, here is a cute joke. Why cant fresh water fish be put in salt water??

Because they will get high blood pressure.

seems like I remember my father using shrimp on trot lines when I was a kid. These were uncooked though.

Those shrimp will do just fine for some fish. If theyre the big ones, cut them up, catfish will eat anything alive or dead. Brim will eat it too.

Catfish and Buffalo fish seem to love them when I use it.

Catfish will eat anything, I had a friend that Commercial Fished some and he said that he had baited jump boxes with P&G Soap. I used to go to the River and catch 4-6 samll Catfish, so I got me a Brother to go with me and show me how, now I can catch catfish with the best of them, it's all in the way you rig up your line. you have to make that bait look like it is floatng free, them river Fish are smart. I always used chicken Livers, just cut you a piece and put it on your Hook and let it over the side of the boat and Drift. chicken Livers work on about june. the last time I went me and my son got there at 6am and fished till 8:30 am and we caught 15 and we had 42 lbs
