Noticed today that Sidelines (the old Princetons) has opened. Anybody been there yet?

Although I know the owners very well (as quoted in an earlier post), I have just now gotten a chance to eat there. I took imamom04's advice, and did not order the chicken salad or fish tacos. I did order the Sideline burger w/ fries, and my wife had the Kentucky Derby chicken. We also had fried crab claws for an appetizer. My burger was among the best I have ever eaten. perfectly cooked, and seasoned, and my wife absolutely loved the Kentucky Derby chicken (grilled chicken breast w/ bacon & swiss). I sampled the chicken as well, and found it to be tender and very flavorful. The fries were also very good. The atmosphere was as you would expect in a sports grill. They have more TV's than I could count, all high def, and all tuned to one of the various ESPN channels as well as 2 huge big screen projection TV's. On the negative side- I have had better crab claws. They weren't awful, but far from the best. Also our server seemed lost almost the entire time. Even though our food was served in a reasonable amount of time, our appetizer was served along with our entre'. All in all our experience was probable an 8 out of 10. They should do well.quote:Originally posted by imamom04:
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! My husband I went to Sidelines the other night. I had the chicken salad sandwich - HORRIBLE! It tasted like it come right out of a bucket from the local grocery store. My husband had the fish tacos. He wasn't impressed either. They undoubtedly will make their money off of alcohol sales and not the food.

and let me guess, she's also got HUUUUUUGE... tracts of land.
I think I'll opt to watch the game at Mugshots after hearing the Sidelines commercial yesterday for the final round of some silly calendar girl contest which will take place this Saturday. I want to watch the game where I can actually watch the game.quote:Originally posted by cherrybomb328:
I Recently went to Sidelines and thought it was awesome they have great food and the NTN Trivia and Texas holdem games are so much fun. Also, I heard that they are going to have the Alabama football game on Saturday. Not many people that I know of are going to get that game!!! I'll definetly be there!!!!ROLL TIDE!!!!
Mug Shots is the back room (bar) in Brinley Brothers on Tennessee Street. The place that's been in the news lately. because of draft beer. There is tons of standing room, but I'll be getting there an hour before kickoff to be sure I get a good seat. They have TVs everywhere, so seeing the game isn't an issue.quote:Originally posted by Confederate Pride:
How much room is in Mug Shots and where is it?
From what I have heard from an employee of Sidelines, reservations need to be made due to the crowd.

Dear Confederate Pride, I think you have Sidelines mixed up with Sidepocket. Sidepockets lounge is having a hawaiian tropic contest on Saturday . Sidelines Sports Deli is having the Alabama Game as there main feature. I think they have like 35 tv's and Draft Beer. They even have tv's in the bathrooms so your sure not to miss anything
