Is there not some law about campaign signs and how long they can be left up after the election? There are so amny al over the area still standing. Most of them are from candidates who lost. They are still in the medians, along the right of way and in trees along 72. There must be 8 or 10 still at the sign welcomung you to Cherokee. Coker and the ones still running for office should be left; but the many others should be removed.

Just me!!

Actually, I think it's illegal to put signs on the road right-of-way anytime but the signs are overlooked during political season.

You're right, pooh, the signs should be removed. Only signs of candidates in the July 13 should still be up. Even the winners ususally take their signs down after the primary until Labor Day when the campaigns will go back into high gear.
it is absolutely a shame to litter our road ways....we teach our kids to pick up after themselves and then adults go out and make a mess..the people putting the signs out should have a mapped out list of where they put them so they can return to remove them...maybe if the state of Alabama started issuing "life in prison" for littering they might start picking them back up...it's called accountibility folks...
