Sinkhole in Guatemala--scary photo

This article says the hole is 60 m deep and that one person was killed.

My thoughts at first too. Do a google search and several big city newspaper and news stations are reporting on it and using the same or very similar image. So it is most likely legit.

It doesn't take much of a "trained" eye to spot a "Photoshopped" pic. Not surprised by the story though.....

I attended Indiana University for three years. I commuted to the campus. One AM we arrived at our usual parking lost to find a quite large sinkhole which developed overnght - not this large or deep or rather frightening. Bloomington, BTW, is built over a huge area of liemstone caverns. It could possibly happen to a degree here. i also spent six weeks in Guatemala seveal years ago. The poverty is unthinkable.

Just saw it on Good Morning America. True story!
