Thanks for the list! There are a lot more places that I have been going now that there is no smoking. It is nice not coming out smelling like a cigarette.

It seems like the majority (not all) non smoking places are Chain Restaurants / Corporate Stores and the smoking restaurants are independently owned. What do they know that the independents don't?

I would like to know what the smoking ban did for the stores bottom line. I have been told that the Corporate stores that went non smoking have seen an increase in family dining (not much change at the bar area) and has helped the stores. I wonder if all the restaurants that went smoking are seeing an increase at their bar location (because that is where most people want to smoke) and is helping their bottom line.
I know that some of the restaurants that elected to go no smoking are hurting on there alcohol sales, but the food side has picked up. The problem is that they made more money off of alcohol, so they are having to change the prices and offerings on the food menu to make up the difference. One restaurant owner told me that his alcohol sales went down almost 30%.

They all make sense except Smokehouse Billiards.
I feel much better now...knowing that I will not be subjected to "second hand smoke" ...thanks to my Florence City Council.
However, I feel I will not be safe, until my "City Fathers" address the issue of..."nasty smelling burps"...and "foul smelling poots" that I/Family encounter, when attending "Feed Bag" establishments.
And! Let's get on the "Turn-in-the-turd-who-do-not-flush...network!
Can you not put a "Jet Purification System" to suck out all of the putrid...urinal like...smells?
Sorry, I'm cookin' mine at home now...

I've made it a point to ask many of the managers, of the Florence Restaurants that we eat at, about the effect of the ruling on their business and I'm not hearing the same as you have. Most of the ones i've heard make statements like that are smokers themselves. Not saying they are biased but it's possible that some are.

I'm still trying to make sense out of this one...
