I like your list of don'ts... I think you just said what many are saying in PM's. Glad you had the guts to post it..
But you forgot about the snide comments, the insults and the FOREVER tests that we are put through here. Like when you voice an opinion, you are then TESTED on it by questions....

I see it as neither an attack or defense, but a feeble attempt to descalate tensions.
However, your reply reminds me of the story of the guy living on the Mason Dixon line during the Civil War. He tried to remain neutral by putting on Confederate pants and a Union shirt. He was shot by both sides. Thanks for that reminder.

There are those who feel compelled to lurk, and there are those who feel compelled to post when silence would be disconcerting, and there are those who feel compelled to comment. There are those who want to comment on everything, and there are those who read everything but comment on nothing.
At the end of the day, though, it's probably not very healthy to afford too much attention to personal emotions attached to "personalities" on an anonymous forum offered by a local paper.
Just a thought (as I flee for cover)...
