<<<SALT LAKE CITY — For the first time in decades, a small band of Mormons who disagree with their church stood during the semi-annual General Conference on Saturday (April 4) and publicly shouted “opposed” to sustaining the top Mormon leaders.

At least seven people rose in dissent as part of an action by a loosely organized group calling itself “Any Opposed?”

The opponents did not say more during the afternoon session, but one of those who stood, Don Braegger of American Fork, Utah, said the group has a variety of concerns, including the perception that LDS history is rife with disturbing episodes........

Braegger — a descendant of Mormon pioneers who reported contributing more than $250,000 in tithes and offerings in his decades in the church — said he held a number of church posts but began losing faith in Mormon leaders a year ago after reading essays on the church’s website to answer thorny doctrinal or historical issues.

Braegger said he had always been diligent about avoiding “anti-Mormon” rantings, but when he read these articles, he found himself “quickly realizing that I and all members of the LDS Church have been lied to for decades regarding some pivotal claims of our church and its leadership.”

Conder, what about the COC? They have some weird ideas/beliefs, & you're worried about the Mormon's? You should be cleaning your own house first instead of pointing fingers at others.

Looks like an internal problem to me. They have a lot of beliefs that go against Christianity and they had to write an extra "bible" to explain off those beliefs but most of the rank & file mormons are decent people. The ones that I take issue with the most are some of the leadership, most notably their founder (Joseph Smith) and some of their early leaders such a Brigham Young. Both of the ones that I named off were some pretty darn bad guys with documented cases of murder and child molestation among other crimes they committed.

Like in any other denomination/church? How about the one 'religion' that contendah and the rest of the left never seems to have a problem with? Far from it, the left bends over for them.

CoC bunch?

What's a CoC bunch?

They can't be as crazy as the Holy Rolling, tongue speaking, Presbyterian mob.

Were you "touched" by a proclaimed CoC once?

Old lefty gun grabber admits to shooting innocent animals? LOL, I think I'll ping a few birds for revenge for the murdered kitties. Their blood and feathers are on your hands contendah! They'll do a fly by haunting on you.

Back or front--it does not matter when they are free-ranging feral cats preying on native birds and small mammals.  With the landowner's permission< I will shoot the vermin.

Do you ever poison dogs that wander into your yard?

Never.  Dogs almost never show up in my yard, but there are two cats that have been chronic trespassers in  the past.  They rarely show up any more because I make it very unpleasant for them in perfectly legal ways. The bird and chipmunk populations applaud my anti-cat activity.

Here's a GOOD cat:

The "Holy Rolling, tongue speaking mobs" you're speaking of is what I've always known as  Pentecostals. The ones I've had contact with are very loving, decent people. They just happen to believe the New Testament that speaks of the "Holy Rolling, tongue speaking mobs".

The COC will tell you real quick if you aren't part of their church/beliefs, you're going to Hell. They are the only one's going to Heaven & their church is the only church.

Are you a COC?

Says he's Jewish.  Don't blame him for not knowing the difference.  But don't know for sure if a CoC would either.

That looks like the work of pigeons, which are more correctly known as European rock doves. They, like the domestic cat, are an exotic invasive species.

In the United States, squab is "increasingly a specialty item", as the larger and cheaper chicken has mostly displaced it.[31] However, squab produced from specially raised utility pigeons continues to grace the menus of American haute cuisine restaurants such as Le Cirque and the French Laundry,[19][32] and has enjoyed endorsements from some celebrity chefs.[3] Accordingly, squab is often sold for much higher prices than other poultry, sometimes as high as eight USD per pound.[3]

A bit of advice: Since pigeons are known to carry several diseases that can infect humans, including histoplasmosis, be very careful about recruiting squab from the wild on your own.  That pigeon nest is a pest hole!
