This appears worse than slavery but the hero is a 17 year old girl who looked 10 due to the condition she was in was able to escape and take a cell phone and call 911 for help. Some people should never be parents!

Children, some Adults kept shackled and in prisoned in their home

The above link references the situation where a mother and father kept their Children, some adults, shackled and for all practical purposes in slavery and starving conditions. Every now and again you hear about a story that you just find difficult to believe happens but sadly these things do happen.
