Southern Energy Homes $10 Million Expansion

Southern Energy Homes in Winston County has announced a $10 Million expansion involving all three of its plants (one located just south of the Franklin County line). Southern is the largest employer in Winston County but has recently had problems in obtaining enough workers.

Having experienced the company's most successful year in the past 25, Southern starts workers out at $11.60/hr. and is seeking new employees in all areas, but especially for its new line of higher-end manufactured homes called Southern Estates. The Northwest Alabamian article stated those interested in working for the company should contact Barbara Kelley, director of Human Resources.
