Southern Farm Table Restaurant & Bakery

As a foodie, I'm always looking for new places to try and while researching Curtis Restaurant (reviewed under another topic) I stumbled upon Southern Farm Table Restaurant & Bakery and I have to admit that the photos attached to the website then I saw the Bakery Link and I just had to put the place on my list of places to try.  This seems to be a buffet type restaurant and along with the one price comes dessert as well but the bad thing was that it was only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays so apparently, they can be selective as to the days they want to open and the restaurant is a way out of town.

The location of this restaurant is located up Highway 20 up toward Central High School and at 4160 County Road 200 near the intersection of Lauderdale county road 277.   When I have a chance to try it I'll review it because it appears to be a very nice restaurant and bakery and from the dessert descriptions the tough part will be which one to limit it to.

If anyone has tried this place please leave a review below and let the forum know how you liked it or why you didn't.  I'll try and leave a review, myself after I have a chance to try it.

From their website:

My mother and I went.  It's definitely up her alley.  Food was fresh, but I didn't really think it was seasoned all that great.  It's pricey but of course it's a buffet you eat what you want.   The dessert was great.   I wasn't even going to take one, but thought I may as well and I got the banana pudding.  It was fantastic.  My mom, on the other hand, loved the place.

It is priced higher than the other buffets around but it is several notches above in quality.  If you appreciate quality and close to homemade it is worth the trip and the price.

Sometimes I am satisfied with cheap and plentiful but knowing that it is canned and or mass produced is an accepted compromise.  Sometimes I am ready for better and this place delivers both quantity and quality.
