Have you ever tried to drive at 25 mph over any length of distance in an area like St. Florian? The local town's government lowered the speed limit to 25 supposedly for safety reasons but it is pretty apparent to many that it was a revenue-generating grab for the town and their St. Florine police force was quick to take advantage of the new lower speed and write a lot of new speeding tickets. Safety or Speed Trap, most can judge for themselves but given that usually, the insurance companies increase rates on a person due to speeding or a moving traffic violation, a ticket could end up being a very expensive thing.
Thankfully, due to an uproar among citizens but mainly local St. Florian businesses the same city council that chose to lower the speed chose to reinstate the original 35mph limit and cancel the 25mph move. No matter the reason I'm just glad that someone got some sense about them because I know I was avoiding St. Florian like the plague due to the implementation of that new speed limit and could only imagine the number of speeding tickets they wrote during the time it was decreased.
