I am watching the Black Knight Rises and just watched Blains speech before releasing Gothams prisoners.  I was struck at the parallel between his ideas and what is happening with Obama's plan to release 6000 Federal prisoners and the constant meda onslaught against the police.  One prosecutor is publicly stating that many of these supposed non-violent offenders were actually plead down from far worse crimes and should not be released.

Making things worse so the government can justify more control is an old tactic -- Draconian reaction.

Obama as Ra's al Ghul, interesting.

It currently cost about $45,000 dollars a year to support these people in federal prison. Add to that the fact that a great many of those are in for one or another marijuana offenses, and you should begin to see why that is something to do, especially when marijuana is becoming legal in more and more states.
Also, the prisons are becoming over crowded and building new ones is quite expensive.
While La is the worse, percentage wise, even Mississippi has a higher incarceration rate than China.or Russia .

Let that sink in a while.
