Just curious on why the forum that was going about the Superintendent's Race of 2008 got erased off of here??? I thought it was pretty good. . .had over 7700 views and 200 posts. The public must care about what's going on with these candidates or they wouldnt take the time to view it this many times.

Very interesting question, bama007! Makes you wonder if maybe the Times Daily is biased and not printing comments that would not be "pretty" for one of the candidates??? I thought a newspaper was supposed to list ALL opinions, didn't you????? I believe there may be a certain Times Daily education reporter that is biased toward a certain candidate for Superintendent!
I've stated before that I dont wanna sling mud and I dont feel like this is, because once again this is fact. Tonight Mr. Hill showed up at the Killen ballpark after his son was involoved in a verbal altercation with a coach in which there was some rough language used between the the younger Hill and the coach. I am not condoning how the coach acted because he was in the wrong. Actually they both were in how they acted. These were 8 year old kids. . .kids just wanting to play ball and have fun. After the game was over, Mr. Hill showed up to defend his son. I cant say I disagree with that. . .the only problem is how he did it. He used some foul language in front several kids (at least 10-15 in the immediate area, not counting the others standing off to the side that could still hear him) while trying to make a point with this coach. Not off to the side like an adult, but out in the open, kids and all.

I know many of you will say a lot of kids hear language like this at home, school and on television, but that still doesn't justify him using it in the public and in front of those kids that are taught better at home. Well then again, I know some Hill supporters and probably some that are undecided saw this first hand and will know this is not just a "Valentine supporter" starting a rumor. I actually started not to post anything, but this is the truth. This really did happen and there were a lot of people there to see it. This is something that people need to know about because I dont think this is the kind of person we need running our school system. If anyone else saw this and wants to comment, please correct me if I have said anything incorrect in what happened.
Hey Bama, I did hear about that, but wasn't going to post it, since I didn't see it with my own eyes. A neighbor called me from the ballpark. She said he made a real horse's behind of himself. Like you, I agree with protecting your child, but not in such a public way. Would this be the way he would deal with employees? In a public manner? The person who called me said it was terrible and all my neighbor could think of was....this man wants to protect and serve my children??????????
Hey Girl Friday, I am glad you didnt see it actually. . .your neighbor hit the nail on the head. I really didnt wanna post either to be quite honest with you. It just really bothers me that people are actually backing this man to possibly have the chance of making decisions for our children. Who knows what all will happen between now and November!!

Sounds to me "Like Father like son",Harlan Hill from my observance is a good man,a kind man and a man who sincerely always tried to be fair but unfortunately ego causes these people to have a Buford Pusser mentality and thinking they are above everything and unfortunately fellow teacher and coaches and just others in general kissing their a doubles s for years has built these attitudes, personally i found it stupid to think so highly of certain people because they played some football,i dont give a horses asss about what they played, rush into a burning building to save a life of a stranger, change a flat tire for an elderly man on the side of the road then you got my respect but not for catching a stupid ass football,by the same token Harlan was the best principal ever at Brooks the two after him should be called LOL and ROFL
