'Son of God' and 'Passion of the Christ' Bible Movies Reveal Amazing

Real Life Miracles.

The Bible is filled with extensive accounts of miraculous occurrences, and although many may now think these signs and wonders are things confined to the past and isolated to the scriptures, new present day testimonies can be found in the unlikeliest of places; from those working on the sets of Hollywood blockbusters.

Massive box office hit, The Passion of the Christ, drew in more than $600 million during its theatrical release, becoming the highest grossing R-rated movie in the United States. However, the production crew working on the film have since testified of some amazing things experienced by them on set. Now, new biblical movie, Son of God, which is set for theater release in the United States on Friday, has also seen similar miraculous testimonies emerging from those who worked on the film.

Gibson's box office-shattering film Passion of the Christ was released in 2004 and told the story of the final 12 hours of Jesus' life. What some people may not know is that the cast and crew witnessed real life miracles throughout the production of the movie. Actor Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in the film, has described several different supernatural experiences he encountered. Perhaps one of the most astonishing occurrences was the time he and another cast member survived being struck by lightning.

"I was lit up like a Christmas tree!," said Caviezel in a 2004 interview with The 700 Club. "I was doing the Sermon on the Mount. I knew it was going to hit me about four seconds before it happened. I thought, 'I'm going to get hit.' And when it happened, I saw the extras grab the ground. What they saw was fire coming out the right and left side of my head. Illumination around the whole body."

"Five minutes after I got hit, Jon Mikalini, an assistant, walks over and says are you okay? And then he got hit," he continued. "All I felt was this giant tremendous slap on my ears and a few seconds of a pink, red static infront of my eyes."

"I could have been incinerated. Jon, who came up to me, had already been hit. I mean three lightning strikes on one film, one guy getting hit twice, and me obviously getting hit one time. And there were a lot of miracles other than that kind of a miracle," he went on to say.

Another film focusing on the life of Christ is hitting theaters this week, Son of God, which has been birthed out of The Bible mini-series that was a massive success last Easter. The series had record-shattering numbers when it aired on the History Channel last year, and led series producer Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey, to work the movie. However, now Burnett has even come out to share similar miraculous events that occurred during the filming of their Bible epic.

While filming the scene in which Jesus tells the priest Nicodemus, "The Holy Spirit is like the wind," Burnett has reported that it was as if God sent them a sign. "At that moment, a wind, like as if a 747 was taking off, blew his hair, almost blew the set over and sustained for 20 seconds across the desert. Everyone just looked at everyone like, 'what just happened?"'

Another miracle that took place during the filming of the upcoming movie is an incident that involved snakes. The production hired a 'snake wrangler' to help keep the set free from dangerous reptiles. The wrangler usually found one or two snakes per day, but on the day the crucifixion was filmed, according to Roma Downey, the wrangler found an extraordinary 48 venomous snakes crawling around the foot of the cross.

Both films had a number of phenomenal happenings - from the Son of God film losing Jesus' irreplaceable costume and four days later and a kid miraculously showing up from miles away through the desert to return it, to the Passion seeing a large number of conversions on set, with atheists and Muslims changing their lives to follow Jesus.

These miraculous stories have led to many testimonies, each clearly indicating that Jesus Christ is still the in the business of miracles.
