Cool...
As an ex officer of so many years, I can say just because I do not agree with surreal justice on some issues, he does bring out some points that have validity...

For any present officer or ex-officer to say we do not have some that do not represent our profession very well would be an understatement of dishonesty at the least...

It is the profession that recognizes there are some who demean the standard which has been set forth, that remains strong and open to public opinion.
We as a profession, should never attempt to hide our weak links and should do our best to remove those who violate those standarad, under the proper procedures to do so, not under a banner of emotion or in an attempt to appease public opinion...

This is right. Any profession must police itself in this way, and it is important not to react defensively to criticism. Being on the defensive lowers objectivity. The old saying about one bad apple spoiling the who barrel is true, at least when it comes to public perception.

also, the pun was unintended ('police' themselves)

Trader,

I said along time ago that mysterymeat is a strange troll. He comes out with these good points and then either beats them to death (as he has the police issue) or berates those that disagree with him. When you are in agreement with him, he can carry on a decent intellegent conversation, but heaven help you if you dont agree with him.

I dont know what started the rift between he and Sassy, but Sassy has done alot better job than I have of keeping it from being personal. My beef with Mysterymeat was he took one of my posts from one subject, posted it with another from a completely different subject into a third thread, and then called me a liar or a hypocrite because the first two didnt match to his liking. They were two completely different subjects and issues. Not to mention that it was unprovoked and I had not had any previous issues with him (other than not agreeing with him on something). Im sure Sassys problems with him (they were already going at it at that time) started about the same way. Mysterymeat likes to attack personally when he is not getting his way (as you have seen a little of).

So, while he makes good points from time to time, they are way overshadowed by his ability to alienate everyone on the forum. What good is it to have a good point or opinion when no one cares what your opinion is in the first place?

I agree completely. Let me ask you this. Have you seen that from any poster here? The ones that are claiming to be a cop that is.

Perhaps you should reread what I left of trader's statement. I have no problem with, after proper procedure, those who are unfit to be police being remove from the ranks, and have indeed participated in more than one being removed from the profession.

I have a great problem with sensationalism and mob incitement being the only standard an officer is judged by, especially before all the facts have been heard and seen.

You wouldn't know me to know anything about my actions. All the info you have on me is what I've posted on this forum.

Try to get strong enough to stand on your own!

BTW...who knows...there may be an investigation ongoing as we speak concerning the large amount of cops posting here. I hope they are not on duty when doing it.

A smart cop would never assume his identity wasn't known. There are some pretty crafty hackers out there.

BTW...I am wise to your attempts to twist things...such as with this.

The ones I've commented on were about cops accused unjustly. Just because you consider their actions wrong does not make it so. As I've pointed out several times on numerous cases, the officers were either exonerated by a jury of their peers or cleared of wrong doing by their department.

I'm not worried about hackers. They'd be bored checking up on me, and my identity is no state secret anyway.

No twisting anything...you said, and I quote: "Your words say one thing. Your actions say another." I reiterate...you have no knowledge of my actions. Therefore, you have no basis to judge my actions. All you have to judge me by is what I've written on this forum.

Of that, I'm certain. Wink

If we could bet, and we can't because that's ILLEGAL, my money's on Mr. T. Big Grin
OHHHHH NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Please don't turn me in Surreal Justice, I promise to agree with you all the time if you won't tell on me please!!

............What an idiot!

SJ, I hope you realize people threaten cops with many things all the time. I think I can speak for most of them by saying, you posts on here are far from any intimidation that a Police Officer faces on a day to day basis.

OH and BTW SJ, please don't get your lawyer after us, we are really scared of them also!!!! LMAO!

You really are dense. I was referring to her use of the quote by Pinky and The Brain. I can stand just fine, I don't need to ridicule others to build myself up. You have a good day with those multiple personalities of yours.
