Swine flu...??? I thought it was all the pork from capitol hill.
Seriously, the marker everyone seems to emphasize most is a FEVER above 102 degrees F.
There is absolutely no need to panic because H1N1, Swine flu responds very well to Tamiflu and other avail treatments. It seems for most who get prescriptives the duration is about seven days. They said today, don't go to your doctor if you suspect Swine flu, call it in and he will phone in a prescription. If you have they typical symptoms plus the elevated temperature, make the call.
They are also suggesting today that there are som minor variables between the flu detected in Mexico and the strain found here.

I would think you would have to be tested in some form to rule out Swine Flu, before calling in anyone a prescription.
I'm more worried about not getting my sausage biscuit every morning....Whats Gonna Happen To Breakfast???
My md will not call in medication w/o an office visit first and he has been my dr about 20 yrs. Good that he doesn't disburse meds freely but bad when its Friday and he wants to see you on Monday and your home sick w/102 temp needing an antibiotic in the middle of allergy season.

Mine won't either, but I don't mind. That's what Med Plus if for!
The most amazing part of this thing to me has been the advice to wash your hands! I cannot believe people do not wash their hands and have to be told to do so...even have "talking heads" demonstrating how to do it.
Did all of us not grow up washing our hands?!
