Why is Tammy Irons taking pot-shots at Bob Riley? She should support him because he is trying to help the Shoals,in spite of continued stupid opposition from her and Bobby Denton. His bond issue will directly benefit the Shoals. It is about time we are finally becoming a player and then Tammy says "well, it could be handled better" ????? but "I guess I support it bcecause it is for eco. dev." What kind of nonsense is that? Riley is handling "it" and himself just fine. Our legislators need to stop the petty, personal politics ans get in tghe big leagues. Riley is showing the way. Let's all have the good sense to follow his lead.

Because what Tammy Irons is doing is just a moot point at this stage of the ball game... She needs MUCH more knowledge on official things before going out and downing someone above her level.... She just hasn't been OUT there long enough for pot shots. Give her more time, and she may just nail it all...

Yes, I know that I am good at saying what I feel about Politics, BUT, I do NOT put myself up for public scrutiny, I am just a peon in this society, which has VALID points, gained by knowledge... and thank God I am NOT in politics, lol.
YES! Okay I got nervous there a minute. You sre right about her not having any stature to down Bob Riley or anyone else. It is all PERSONAL with that bunch, take my word for it. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. Thin-skinned and *****ly under fire. Just watch. You will se it all before it is all said and done.
There is ONE issue I have found that Tammy is doing right. It is the issue of long term care for the elderly. The Alabama Nursing Home Association is trying to keep small independent health care facilities such as people who operate out of a private residence, from getting accredited. They are doing it out of puredee ole greed. Tammy is trying to allow smaller business to care for the elderly and for them to be monitored and legal.

IMO it is a good thing. The elderly can get more personal care when there is not as many residence to care for at a location.

LOl... sorry about the misunderstanding Big Grin I HAVE in fact heard enough about them to understand where you are coming from. If I lived in Florence during election time, I would put one of those signs up that says "VOTE 'EM ALL OUT"... right beside the one that says VOTE FOR SCOTT CARRIER! lol.

Being a woman myself, I think I can say this without sounding sexist... so here goes, lol... Women are generally "nurterers" we seem to NEED to fix things that happen to PEOPLE and with that being said, then I will agree with you about her and her actions to help long term care for elderly... I have an elderly Dad, who is twice a Veteran and 30+ years National Guard after that... and he gets the door closed on him all the time through the VA Administration. Long term care? BAH! I doubt that they would help him, so SOMEONE needs to be the voice of the elderly!!!
I support Tammy. Overall she is doing a good job. She comes from a conservative family, well respected in the community and she did win with a sizeable majority of the vote - twice. If she thinks a bond issue is not the right way to go - she should say so. As for Riley, I fail to see what it is he has actually "done". Sometimes doing nothing is all one needs to do.
