Today's TD editorial concerning federal age limits for purchasing firearms is misleading.

Federal law limits purchase of rifles and shotguns to those 18 and over. Purchase of pistols is limited to those 21 and over. The editorial would lead one to believe that purchase of all firearms is limited to those 21 and over.
