Did you all happen to notice the poll this morning? Question: what should be done about the Social Security crisis? It looks like they conveniently left off the most obvious option. How about the politicians participate in the SS system and they (and their family) stop receiving extravagant life-long salaries? When is our government going to start using good ol' common sense?

You're not paying in for 50 years for yourself. You are paying for those that are retired and drawing now. Those who retire in 20, 30, or 40 years will be receiving payments out of funds contributed by those then working. It is the largest Ponzi scheme ever foisted upon a group of people with no chance to get out. Madoff is small potatoes next to this gunverment scheme we refer to as "Social Security"
