I haven't heard if its BYOB. Big Grin
People need to get informed of their representatives of Alabama. They might find that our representatives are not representing the people of Alabama that make less than $200,000 a year.
Wait and see, These right wings will sucker some one making $50,000 a year to protest with them, while they laugh at them behind his/her back. Sad! People need to get informed.

I live in Alabama. When I call or write my Congressman or Senators, I get the Republican party line. It is not easy being a Democrat in the South..

It's because there is no "Democrat" anymore. There ARE millions of former Democrats still here but they are now known as Independents and Republicans. All others are just defacrats.
I believe you are referring to "The People's Socialist Democratic Party of America"...

1. Free health care for everyone.

2. Wealth redistribution, aka, Spread the Wealth Around.

3. Federalized (nationalize) banks and automotive industry.

4. Re-instate the Selective Service Draft (to make sure all rich kids serve).

5. Write/Pass more Hate crime laws...special laws for special people...we are no longer equal under the law...

6. Federal funding for abortion on demand.

7. Approve Social Security and full medical benefits for all illegal immmigrants.

8. Strengthen the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to control broadcast radio and television, to minimize or eliminate extreme right wing broadcasters who incite people to think for themselves.

9. To support the government of Mexico, Second Ammendment rights will be suspended and all weapons confiscated.

I plan to attend the one in Huntsville unless I see something coming together for a Florence party soon.

The post has a number for a rep in Florence. I believe they do have one planned for the 15th at the courthouse.

It will be interesting to go and see how many bluedogs attend. It will also be very interesting to see how many people making 10,000,25,000 50,000, 75,000 and 100,000 a year to support the 200,000 plus a year and the very rich who is protesting Obama's tax breaks for the middle class.
Your obviously not watching CSPAN/CSPAN2. Interesting debates recently. Including the facts the dems have been in control of congress since 2007. Congress are the ones who actually pass the budget. Therefore, the budget Obama "inherited" from President Bush is actually the DEMOCRATIC congress's budget. And they are at it again. It's sad, amazing and informative to watch what they say and how they are acting in congress. Today the dems were complaining they might not get out of town by tomorrow (spring break for congress) if they had to vote on all the amendments. Reids solution - 10 minute vote and discussion on all amendments, Oh and they passed that bill limiting pay for non performance...hmmm...reckon we can limit THEIR pay? Roll Eyes
The way it has been under the Bush tax plan, if a person making $200,000 plus a year gave $100.00 to charity, he could write off 39% verses someone who makes $50,000 a year gives $100.00 to charity, they get to write off 28%. For some reason, I don't see that as a fair tax. More of a tax break for the rich than the middle class under the republican plan.

Hate to bring this up but it is the rich man who puts most Americans to work. They are much more likely to hire more people and pay better wages if they haven't had their pockets picked by uncle sam.
When will the repub party ever give up on trickle down economics? it don't work will not and has never worked. I'am not saying any thing the present administration has done will work, but they did not get in office because of what has happened in the last two years of jrs term. The economy was already tanking in jrs. second year of office. America was ready for change, and whether its for the good or bad we will see. I think both party's are to blame for the situation we are in. I thank their are members of both rebup and dem parties who are respectable and have our nations best interest at heart, but there are equally others who don't. It will be our responsibilty at election time to vote these people out of office . Whether it be obama, or members of congress, I'am an american first regardless of party affilation.
Check this out!

The 4 Boneheaded Biases of Stupid Voters
(And we're all stupid voters.)

Almost all the “respectable” economic theories of politics begin by assuming that the typical citizen understands economics and votes accordingly—at least on average. By a “miracle of aggregation,” random errors are supposed to balance themselves out. But this works only if voters’ errors are random, not systematic.
