Senator Ted Cruz verbally body-slammed MSNBC’s henpecked host Joe Scarborough by reminding him that he had “chased after Trump for 2 years like a teenage girl throwing her panties at the latest boy band” to book Donald Trump on his show before he became president.

The Twitter feud erupted after Scarborough tweeted a now-debunked video suggesting that Vice President Mike Pence was carrying “empty” boxes of personal protective equipment (PPE) as part of a staged photo-op.

However, the full C-Span video debunked the fake news when it showed Pence (who’s in charge of the White House coronavirus task force) carrying full boxes of PPE and later joking about carrying empty boxes “just for the camera.”

Joe Concha, the media reporter for The Hill, pointed out that the left-wing pollster who tried to shame Pence with this false narrative never deleted his tweet.

Concha tweeted: “This false tweet got 88,000 retweets and 221,000 likes and millions of views. It has been proven to be a lie. It’s been fact-checked as a “clear case of manipulated video” and “an example of ‘deceptive editing-omission’” by the Washington Post. The author doesn’t care. Why is that?”

Predictably, Joe Scarborough gleefully shared the debunked video to dunk on Vice President Pence. Like the rest of the fake-news media, Scarborough didn’t bother to confirm the veracity of his tweet before posting it.

Senator Ted Cruz trashed Scarborough for shamelessly pushing a false narrative.

Cruz tweeted: “Hmm. When you’re on the defensive for being dishonest and corrupt, perhaps best not to forward fraudulent stories from Jimmy Kimmel (that he’s admitted were false)? You are claiming to be a journalist, after all.”

In response to conservative backlash, Scarborough deleted his tweet and offered an insincere apology to Vice President Pence.

Scarborough responded by writing: “Ted, when I make a mistake I admit it. You remain mired in shame because you kowtow to a man who called your wife ugly and said your daddy assassinated JFK. Me messing up a tweet or two will never erase the shame you carry every day of your life".

That’s when Senator Cruz went in for the “kill shot” by reminding Joe Scarborough how he used to grovel and pant after Donald Trump to book him on his poorly-rated MSNBC show.

Cruz tweeted: “Joe, you chased after Trump for 2 years like a teenage girl throwing her panties at the latest boy band; now you pretend to be this indignant paragon of virtue outraged at everything he says and does. All to get invited to DC cocktail parties and thrill the 13 people watching MSNBC.”

Speaking of girls throwing their panties, remember when Joe’s mistress-turned-wife Mika Brzezinski flirted outrageously with Donald Trump when he appeared on their MSNBC show before becoming POTUS?

Observers suggested on social media that Mika panted after the billionaire mogul because she had a crush on him.

“Mika Brzezinski is gushing!” one Twitter user noted. “Clearly, she’s got it bad for the Don-Don.”
