She's wrong to sue. However, there are complications that I would like to hear about. If, its just a willful person, she's 18 and nice looking. Somewhere there's a stage and a pole -- for a no skills woman. She can work her way thru school.
A New Jersey family court judge ruled today that Rachel Canning's parents do not have to pay her high school tuition after she sued them to cover her schooling and living costs.
The judge delayed a ruling on whether the parents must pay the 18-year-old student's college tuition while asking lawyers to consider whether it's wise to "establish precedent where parents live in fear of establishing rules of the house?"
The judge also denied her request for weekly allowance and additional financial support including attorney fees.

A friend's father is footing the legal fees for her, $13,000 so far, and the article yesterday said the lawyer was the friend's mother. $13,000 in legal fees in five months or less? That is what needs lo be investigated.
She is 18 if she doesn't like living at home she can get out. If her parents don't want her there they they are free to tell her not to let the door hit you where the good lord split you. All the other stuff is superfluous. My advice: life isn't fair, join the military.
What can you say. Sign of the times. I saw an ad for a lawyer-call him if you took abilify and developed a gambling habit. Apparently he'll get you lots of money to support that habit. Are the ones that have the habit and aren't taking medication just sol? Another "we sue for you" ad I like says, "if you are a man and suffered a stroke, heart attack, or DEATH, call us". Yep, even if you're dead they want to hear from you. Guess they figure if the dead can vote for democrats they can sue too.
Since one of the things she's suing for is child support for the family she's living with, I wonder if they will throw her out if it's not forthcoming?.
More and more I sympathize with D*I*c*k the Butcher, "The first we do, the first thing, Let's kill all the lawyers."
Maybe now she will be eligible for a federal pell grant since a judge denied the request for financial support. Her family could have billions $ but may just not want to spend any on a college education for her.
