I was dead wrong about my Auburn Tigers last week, but dead on with my Bama/SC pick. SC followed that blueprint from Ole Miss that I mentioned. I picked low scoring a close because McElroy struggles with pressure defense. If Garcia for South Carolina doesn't all but walk to the middle of the field and hand Barron the ball on that 1st drive pick, and then if he don't throw a 35 yard post pass to a wide open receiver 20 yards down the seam....then that game would've been VERY scary for the Tide.
Tennessee off a bye week could be much the same. The defensive Kiffin has had 2 weeks to come up with something for McElroy. If he can do the same vs McElroy and cut Ingram's contribution in half, then Tenn just may shock the world. Their offense will be at least AS competent as South Carolina's, and the offensive Kiffin has had 2 weeks to throw a wrinkle or 2 in. But they'll still need a special teams TD and NO turnovers. Bama wins another, but closer than the experts think.

Vawls aren't a horrible team, but they aren't great either. Anyone can beat anyone these days in D1, but Bama is just too tough this year.
Vawls will go down easier than a UT cheerleader at a frat party. That will give me another year of peace when I wear my crimson in public.

If they play like they have the past 2 games -- it is definitely a possibility. Yes, they won, but they should have (if they are as good as they are supposed to be) wiped the stadium with both teams, but they walked away with a win barely....then again, Tennessee is like Auburn -- when they play Alabama you can throw their "records" out the window -- it's game on...

I moved to TN right after they won their 2nd (lmao, only 2) National Championship. UT fans were far more obnoxious to me than any Auburn fan was.
I'll root for Auburn when they play UT. I hope they lose every game, even to Vandy. I have a lot of friends and my wife's family who are Vawl fans. So when Bama beats UT, I've got a whole year of living in peace.

You gotta be kidding? I've been a prior fan of Tennessee and then Alabama. I actually root for all SEC teams to win but favor Alabama. Tennessee fans are the worst I've seen anywhere at losing faith. I can remember when Tennessee started losing, after they won the National Championship, each trip we would take to the Smoky Mountains we never would see Tennessee fans wearing the colors like they did in 2000 and they were so fast to get down on the coaches even when Tennessee was winning big.
I thought Tennessee played better than Alabama on Saturday and deserved to win but I'm glad they didn't. I do hope though that Alabama learns something from that game or they are going to never make it against LSU or Florida and quite possibly not against Auburn either.
