I would like to encourage everyone to watch Glenn Beck weeknights at 8pm on headline news or go to glennbeck.com.
According to his info al-quieda troops are training to invade American schools.I know last year the government admitted that they were concerned about possible threats to school buses.
Supposedly there is an 8 hour video tape of training drills to take our schools hostage.

I don't know how legit Glenn Beck is so please check it out for yourselves.

People would be surprised how LAX most school security is. Most school officials wrongly feel that the mere installation of cameras in schools will 'protect' them. Sadly, very few school systems across the country learned ANYthing from Columbine and are ill-prepared to defend against a determined terrorist attack.

One other thing: You'd be surprised to learn how many school systems DON'T WANT law enforcement officers conducting training (I'm not talking about occasionally running a 'drug dog' through the building) in their schools...even AFTER hours. Think about the schools in YOUR neighborhoods for a minute. Are you CONFIDENT your local LEOs are intimately familiar with its layout....as they SHOULD be? You can BET that determined terrorists WILL BE.

You know several years ago an evangelist was speaking at our church about this very thing. The topic subject was END TIMES. He showed us in Bible scripture how a small country would overcome a much larger country. He warned us then to watch very closely what goes on in the middle east. One of his theories was that our schools would be targeted.He said the greatest way to hurt America was to cripple its finances
and harm our children.The harming of our children will bring the greatest amount of devastation to Americans. Well,they took down the WTC in an effort to hurt our economy so will they start strikibg our schools next?
This is exactly why our Gov. needs to close all borders and keep them close!!

maybe the terrorists are also reading the same bible scripture and trying to make you fearful by "fulfilling the prophecy." Schools are not designed to be fortresses. There is no way to defend them with a ballpoint pen. I have never heard of any school saying please don't train to protect us in our schools.

Seriously, do we really need a POLICE STATE to survive this terrorist threat? I personally think NOT! Maybe I'm wrong but there must be a better way.

One thing is to STOP some of the "ANTI-AMERICAN" rehtoric in some of our Colleges that hire professor's who advocate the over-throw of America. These Preachings of some of the professors in their classes was prevelent in the 60s even I heard in some of the eighties
after returning from Viet-Nam I started my college courses , and this alone was reason enough for myself to switch from one University to one another. whether this is still going on I have no idea? but some of those same professors are still teaching in those same schools.

That is where real Terrorism STARTS in the teaching's of some our Colleges.

WAKE UP CALL! They do.....quite frequently. It's looked at from a 'liability standpoint'. School officials don't want to deal with any possible injury resulting from a 'training accident'. Speaking from personal experience, one of my principals FLATLY REFUSED to allow my department's TACTEAM to train in my school, using 'Simunitions', because of the 'potential mess' that MIGHT be incurred.

It's the same 'logic' that some school administrators use when denying the installation of 'speed bumps' in school parking lots. The fear of a parent sueing the system for the loss of a muffler OUTWEIGHS the very real threat speeding cars pose to students/staff. It's a PRIORITY issue.

Too many people in America are possessed with the 'it won't/can't happen here' mentality.

I've never watched Glenn Beck but I plan to now.

I believe it's fully possible that an attack will be carried out on our schools. I also believe it will be schools in small towns simply because of the lack of resources. I can see them attacking several schools at the same time and watching the local, state, and federal agencys run around trying to figure out who covers what area.

Face it people we are not immune to an attack of this sort.

I bet a LOT of our emergency responders are not familiar with the layout of our area schools.

Schools are probably one of our weakest points.

No better way to grab us by our nads by grabbing our children and threatening their safety. It would be total chaos.

I wonder oftenly what is this world coming too.. and wth are we gonna do about it?

I say we nuke em like we did Hiroshima... end of story. Sadistic yes, peaceful no, effective yes.

I know I know... the UN is whining about how we can fight them and reach a more peaceful solution. I just don't trust any of it anymore.

It all just makes me sick.

The Palistinians attacked day care and grammar schools killing teachers, care takers and the children, indescriminately. Finally, Israel taught the teachers and staff to defend themselves and armed them. No more attacks.

Schools and day care facilities are one of my worst scenario nightmares when it comes to the jehadim.

People would be surprised at how insecure our day care centers are. Our grocery stores are also pretty insecure. Why, you can just walk right in there. Stadiums are a joke, too.

My youngest is in middle school. Of course I worry. Sometimes I even lose sleep over his safety. His school is doing what is prudent until a few tens-of-millions of dollars can be found to build a more secure one.

I'm doing what I can. I have a friend who is a local federal LEO who has promised to clue me in on "insider" things I might need to know. His kid is best friends with my kid. He says he will let me know if he plans to not let his child go to a football game.

I work within walking distance of his school. At the first sign of alarm, I am headed over there packing a large caliber weapon.

Listen to all of you. Scare tactics at it's best. We just soak it up like it's the truth. Just like the stupid threat level (Red, Orange, etc.) created by our government. All to keep us in check. You want to run a country or control a group of people? Do it by keeping them uneducated and scared. That's it.

I think the events of 9/11 should have proved to EVERYONE, it can happen at anytime to anyone,ANYWHERE in the US. We are not living in the same world we once knew. A bit of caution and adding a bit of security is not a bad thing.

Exactly. And if that is what it takes here, that is what we will do. These teachers and staff would not hesitate to bear arms against these cowards if the children that they care for are in danger. I will not succumb to fear of terrorists. If they come here, we will take them out...period.
