Yes, the us congress sold us down the river on this one, even though it stank so bad it needed $150 billion of pork to get it passed. Note that the presidential candidates of both major parties voted for it. Obama says "change" then votes status quo, McCain says "change" then votes the same way. I say change, don't vote for either one of them. Vote for any 3rd party you can.
The market was recovering until the bailout passed, then the bottom fell out. Proof that the government does not always know what's best.
Voting for a 3rd party this late in the game is the same as not voting at all. It doesn't send any message, it simply wastes your vote. One or the other will be elected, so pick which one will leave the smallest mess to clean up in 2012 and vote for them.
The primaries is when we vote for change and turnout was terrible nationwide. Until people actually start giving a dam and getting to the polls when it counts, nothing will change.
