Since the bushes have been in power they have brought back the hard liquor ads to TV. Reading about the beer commercial made me think of that, and some of you think war is all we have to thank our little smirking president for.
Its OK the demorats have Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the house...lets see she stands for no parental notification for abortions to minors...voted down every child care tax cut...abortion on demand third trimester no problem. cut its little head off.....hmmmm Tax increases for everyone! and free illegal health care...yeaaaa. now why do I try again???
I don't get the connection between Bush and hard liquor ads. Did I miss something? I do recall a connection between Cheney and hard liquor, but that's another story.
Did a google search and saw Clinton's name all over the push to end hard liquor ads. Now I get it. Bush did take up Clinton's "cause" when he took office.
It was the FCC during the Clinton era that changed advertising regulations. Something else that happened during Clinton's term was the Telecommunication's act of '96. Thanks to that, there are less locally owned media outlets and more national conglomerates. Now instead of having a local DJ talking to you, you get a pre-recorded announcer coming from satellite. Clear Channel, NYT, and other huge media companies have gotten even bigger because of that. So who says the Democrats don't support big business?
