I was just curious as to who celebrates thanksgiving at area restaurants. What restaurants serve the best thanksgiving courses on thanksgiving day? My family is going to eat thanksgiving dinner at the Cracker Barrel this year. They have a thanksgiving special that includes a huge meal and pie for only 8.99$ Looks good on the website! The past few years we have eaten at shoneys. Normally I'm not a fan of Shoney's but it was very good. I believe Ryan's will also be having a thanksgiving day special. I noticed Crocodile ed's will be hosting a 17$ thanksgiving special that includes a Soup or Salad, One Entree, Two Side Dishes, and One Dessert.

What do you guys think?

The Croc seems a little over priced.

The Old Rocking Chair and Country Store, U. S. Hwy 72, west of Tuscumbia, has an offering for Thanksgiving where they prepare and package traditional Thanksgiving favorites for you to take home and serve at your dinning room table.

With me working two jobs and my wife working a double every other day and no real family around us five eat out. We went to ryans last year and it was pretty good.

Some places are selling prepared meals so you can pick it up at eat at home as if you made it. Piggy Wiggly is one but I'm sure there are others.

The bad thing about eating out for Thanksgiving is there are no leftovers to munch on .The most depressing holiday that I have experienced was a Thanksgiving that we decided to eat out.Without naming the restaurant,my step daughter became ill while we were there .Things spiraled down hill from there....Nothing like grabbing a chunck of turkey and a piece of pecan pie between quarters of the football game...Now thats Thanksgiving to me.

The courier journal had several adds for various restaurants having thanksgiving dinners. One of them I had never heard of was "ezzell's." Supposedly its in tuscumbia. I aint never seen it.

Honey Baked Ham makes whole Turkeys - Roasted, Smoked or Cajun Style. Add the sweet potato souffle, corn bread dressing, a veggie and dessert and you are all set. Leftovers, too.

You do have to order in advance, though.

I know that Country Boy's in Petersville/Underwood will be open on Thanksgiving day from 11 am to 3 pm I think. I was just wondering who else is going to be open besides Cracker Barrel, Shoney's, Ryans, Croc Ed's....in Florence preferred. Have family coming in from Hohenwald, TN to go eat with us so just needed a few more ideas. Thanks!

If you want steak, go to Legend's (if they're open). If you want more the turkey type feast, go to Cracker Barrel.

Went with my family to Paula Deens in Tunica for Thanksgiving! Food was excellent and beautifully displayed. Best of all no leftovers or clean-up.
We ate in seperate dining room of our own, decorated in lots of reds & yellows Very charming. Had our own server that kept our minted & lemon wedge tea glasses full! We all had a wonderful time.
