1 O GEORGE, you have searched me
and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue
I think of your retribution, O GEORGE.

5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you lay fear and loathing upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too terrible for me,
your dominance is my only terror.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to North Dakota, your minions are there;
if I make my bed in Alabama, your minions follow me.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your agents will find me,
your prison will hold me fast.

11 There is no refuge from you in the cradle of civilization.
for your ambition is to subjugate civilization herself.

12 even the darkness will not be made darker;
the night will darken the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you wakened my inmost fears;
and brought my nightmares to my waking hours.

14 I fear you because you fearfully made;
your works are terror and war,
I know that full well.

15 My child shall not be hidden from you
but be taken to a secret place.
Where relief is in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw liberty all around you,.
And you ordained an end to me.
Evil was written in your book
before your power came to be.

17 How horrible to me are your thoughts, O GEORGE.
How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I still fear and loathe you.

19 If only you would stay the wicked, O George!
Away from me, your bloodthirsty men!

20 They speak with you of evil intent;
your adversaries fear your name.

21 Do I not hate those who hate me, O GEORGE,
and abhor those who rise up against others?

22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.

23 Search me, O George, and know my heart;
face me and know iI am your enemy.

24 Stay the course you have chosen, for power's sake,
the Earth will rise up against your nation and crush it.

It is the 139th Psalm with a limited rewrite Smart Chick. AND IT WAS MY EDIT not someone else's. The last time I checked, God had not filed a copyright infringement suit in over 4 thousand years.

You are a very creative guy, Ed. Nice re-write, but a little too creepy for my taste.
It is eerily close to the reality of what we are seeing today. The person it's about is too creepy for my taste.
