In the Bible; it is believed by many if not all Christians that prophesies are given to show us as a view of whats to come in the last days. We are told and taught by Jesus himself that in the last days just before His return several things will take place. I am going to attempt to shine a little light on a Major prophesy beginning to be fulfilled now and may even be fulfilled by September 2008!

Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ’seven.’ In the middle of the ’seven’. he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

In this prophesy above we see that in the last days before Jesus returns the Anti-Christ will help establish peace in the middle east between Israel and the surrounding arab nations. By our own news agencies we see that Israel and Palenstine are having issues. We see that Egypt and Israel have been having issues every since Israel became a nation once again. Last but not least We now see that Iran is about to have a big (nuclear) issue with Israel.

But if you have been paying attention to the news (i.e. CNN, WNN & Jerusalem Post) You will see that Israel's Prime Minister is stepping down in September. BUT... He said before he leaves office He is going to make every effort possible to have the 7 yes I said 7 year peace treaty (covenant) signed.

Which is going to be the New Year in Israel;
Jewish Holidays 5769 Dates in 2008-2009
Rosh HaShana = New Year Sept 30-Oct 1 Tues-Wed
Yom Kippur = Day of Atonement October 9 Thurs
Sukkot = Feast of Tabernacles October 14-20 Tues-Mon

What does this mean? We just have to watch for the signs given in the Bible. Be waiting for Christ soon return. Teaching others to repent for the Kingdom of God is near.

The following is an hypothesis of mine own making.

What if (seeing how George Bush fixed it so he could declare martial law if needed) Iran and Russia attempt to go to war with Israel before Bush is out of office. Lets say around, End of August or during September. Bush declares martial law because of the threat of nuclear reactions. Now we see that we have the same President for a little longer period of time. Ok lets move on, some how George Bush, Condoleeza Rice along with the backing of the European Nations helps the Prime minister of Israel sign the 7 year peace treaty (covenant).

Did you know that Condo Rice is actully trying to speed up the process?

Did you know that Bush has made the statement that He would help Israel's prime minister to get the peace treaty signed before they both were out of office. (keep in mind = Israels is leaving @ the end of September and ours is out in November)

Did you know that Israel has a Tabernacle of worship already made for immediate resuming of sacrifices? Look at the Old Testament tent that God told Moses, Aaron and his sons to build.

Israel already has one like it stored away for when they can put it up on the temple mount to begin sacrifices.

Good day!
The Bible states in Matthew 24 that Christ's coming will be like it was in the days of Noah. People were going about their daily lives, marrying and giving in marriage right up until the flood came and took them all away. So it will be for us, we will be going about our daily lives, he will come like a thief in the night (without warning)
So, yes, I would advise going ahead with your retirement account...because we never know for sure the exact date; even Jesus didn't know; he said only the Father knows the exact date.

According to the Bible what good is it to store up things that will be of no use to you in heaven?
Why not take you retirement plan and your second, third homes and let the homeless live there, why not give your money to the poor who need. Those who are less fortunate than you?

You will ask do I? And Yes is my answer.

No second or third home but I could probably keep a couple of homeless people people liquored up until September.

Are you going to say that God does not give warnings? Apparently you have not read Revelations. And the books of the prophets.

The term you referred to in context was talking about time as in the day or the hour! Not as in the general time frame for God says it will all begin when Israel becomes comes together as a Nation once again.

(According to your own words) [QUOTE]Originally posted by MonetsGroupie:

WHO did God give a warning to? NOAH, Who did Noah warn? The people around him but non would listen they mocked him, scorned him, and laughed at him. Why? Because up until that time there had never been any rain on the earth! Who are the Chrsitians? The ones he gave the Bible to. We Chrsitian go out and preach the word as God has given, God gives knowledge to those who ask and to those who seek. God wants those who have the knowledge to share with others so no soul is left behind. But just in the days of Noah, people laugh, moch, scorn those who give out warnings according to Gods word. God gives warning today as in the days of Noah!

Be prepared for God is giving signs.

Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!

Hey, Braylan...I am on your side..Of course He gives warnings...I have read Revelations (and the whole Bible, as a matter of fact) a million times. Studied it ...I am a mid-tribber myself...God has also given me personal revelations...Please let's not argue among ourselves(Christians)

Yes Phoenix you could do that, or while you are giving him a little spirits to drink to help shrink His pains of life you could also be giving Him spiritual nourishment like handing him a Bible you paid for. After all if you plant the seed, God will see to it that it will get watered!

Phoenix,

And after September they can live in Brylan's empty house!

Muddy

Muddy you are putting words into my mouth! I never said it was going to happen this September. I don't know when it will happen but as sure as the signs are fulfilled you can count on the rest of the Bible prophesies to be fulfilled as well.

God bless.
Thank goodness, only the end of time! I thought the TD might be going under.

Well, if true, it'll mean a good business for me -- big bonus.

Braylan,

I've seen some special access government phones in my long career in, and now out, of government. What line does Ms. Rice use in her coordinating her efforts to immanetize the eschaton? And, who does it connect with? Any chance of business contacts?

Monets,

Went to Giverny for a long weekend before the inhabitants of Paris left for their long vacation. Clos Normand is in full bloom. Interestingly, for this thread, at Misery, so was Hell, in all it pr!ckly glory. (damm filter).

The chef at Moulin des Connelles still turns out the best food, for my taste, in the area.

I can't agree with you on what you have written. One reason is, if He comes back tonight are you and your family members truly ready to meet Him?

Even in your own writings you made it clear that it is very important to worry about Christ return. If you live like there is no tomorrow according to how Jesus teaches then you are doing a great thing. But if you are living like there will be no Hell to pay then you are living an unwise lifestyle.

Whether your demise is by a bus, a friend, an enemy, an accident, on purpose what ever the case may be ((In the owrds of Jesus)) Make sure that you have; Repented for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!

Good day.
By my count, we're in the twentieth CENTURY of expectation about a "return" and the end of the world. Yet it keeps on not happening.

In 1844, William Miller criss-crossed the country proclaiming the imminent return of Jesus. Thousands of Americans sold their worldly possessions and stood in fields on the appointed day, singing and praying and expecting The End of Times.

It rained.

Jesus was a no-show.

Miller went on to start the Seventh-Day Adventist church.

That little episode is now known to historians as the Great Disappointment. In my life I have watched with humor and annoyance as the coiffed-preacher set proclaimed the imminent End of Days, year after year. It wouldn't be so bad if our national leadership didn't base our foreign policy on this nonsense.

And it is nonsense. It's bad theology from biblical illiterates with no understanding of scripture's history. It is disproven every year that the rapture doesn't come.

But the advance of time only increases their conviction that God is imminent. Every event, no matter how positive, becomes one more "proof" of the End Times. Barack Obama is now being dressed up as Nicholae Carpathia, but even if Barack Obama leaves office in 2016 and the world has not ended, but is in fact much better off, the apostles of doom will continue to sell their screeds.

There is just too much profit in it.

The business of doomsaying is a big business, after all -- just look at the sales figures for Left Behind books. People LIKE this garbage because it fills their atavistic need for destruction and rewards their blinkered world-view with heavenly promises. It is fiction of the best-selling kind.

I don't believe that Ms. Rice's agenda is to bring about the return of Christ nor do I believe that anyone who is fully aware of their Christianity (i.e. Bible Prophesy) would want to be a part of this. I have never stated that this is the way it is going to happen. I made an hypothesis as to ms. Rice, George Bush and Ehud Olmert possible role in signing of the peace treaty in the middle east. I may be wrong and more than likely I am concerning the characters in this prophetic fulfillment. In fact only God knows who all the charaters are and they are in place for the right time.

I stated what I did in efforts to get people to start studying Gods word more and to be more aware of what is going on around them.

It will come to pass according Gods word, Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.

Good day.
I agree with Tweety...we need to always be ready. Even if we live to be 100 yrs old, the end is coming for all of us within the next 100 years. We all live with that uncertainty of when our "end" will come. But there are many, many prophecies being fulfilled everyday; now more than ever before. It's a no-brainer that it is getting close.

You are correct about these "End Times" profiteers, but they do not represent the whole of the Christian community's view on this subject. There are lots of believers who do not subscribe to the nitwit theories of such heretics as William Miller or later deluded premillenarians.

I have nothing to sell. I have no books. I have no web site with my name attached. I don't want you or anyone else seeking me out trying to see if what I say is so. I only want the truth to be told according to the Bible. It may not happen this year, It may not happen next year, Heck it may not 10 - 50 years down the road but it will Happen.

You see in 1844 and up until 1947 the return of Christ could never have happened! Why you might ask, there is a simple answer! Israel was not a nation during those times. Not until the prophesy of Israel becoming a Nation was fulfilled "1948" could this CLOCK of God start ticking faster. Anyone who studies the Bible must know that this would have been the case.

For the Bible teaches that the Generation that lives during the time of Israel becoming a Nation once again will not pass away without seeing all of the Bibles prophesies fulfilled!

Is there many still alive today that were born in 1948? Yes, according to our life span which is typically 65 - 75 years. Then we see that according to that time frame; 1948 plus lets say 70 years = 2018 --- which is only 10 years away.

I am not setting this as the date fro I do not know, I am only saying that we are closer than any of you can imagine!
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!

Good day!
I just pan fry mine with olive oil and a touch of adobo and salt and freshly ground mixed pepper corns after brushing with egg and bread crumbs with powdered Romano cheese.

Oh, wait, that was my eggplant recipe. End Times: speed the plow! Speed the plow! Can't be enough people raptured for my taste, judging from the Rapturists' rather loosely constructed "bounds of normalcy" which they present to the world in their prose.

Do you find it interesting that every single Christian sect will say that exact same thing? Braylan, as insanely wacky as he is, will assert to the death that his view is (or should be) held by all Christians.

Yes I do believe that all people should Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven in near! Closer than we may realize! Yes I will go to my grave; if the Lord does not return before hand; shouting from the roof tops (i.e. this forum and many others) That Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the Life. God sent him to be an atonement for the sins of the world and whosever believes in Him will not parish but have eternal life through Him. So therefore I must go out as a Christ follower and proclaim the good news!

Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!

I would say it is YOU who is behaving ignorantly. When you are trying to bring someone to Christ you most certainly ARE "selling" them on the idea of salvation. By selling, my little friend, I mean that you are making a pitch on behalf of Gods gift to all sinners. I am not speaking of a literal exchange of money for goods. If the only pitch on behalf of God is " THE END IS NEAR! " then you better come up with another one. Not only is it intellectually inexpensive, but a bit looney too boot. There are better ways to take your goods to market, and better ways to offer Gods salvation than through the threat of eternal ****ation.

Brylan,

In 1844 you simply had to tell people that the United States was the metaphorical "new Isreal" and so the prophesy had been fulfilled. People will believe anything.

I apologize for the ignorant remark, there are so many people out there that make all Christians sound like they are only doing the work for the Lord for some sort of profit. In which my reply is I am not selling anything, I am only proclaiming the truth!

also Ma'am, may I point out that, that was Jesus' main teaching! If you read in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and then follow up by the apostles (Paul) teachings you see that all were exclaiming for the sinners to repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near! If it was near then, how much more so is it nearer now?

Matthew 4 verse 17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

The last part of this is in quotes. Why? Because it was the teachings / words of Christ!

Good day.

Did you live back then? Do you have first hand knowledge that people were ignorant then? One more question how many Jews were in America then? If you think about it for a moment, our country could possibly not be where it is today if not for the ones that lived back then!

There are all sorts of people out there telling you one thing and believing another for their own gain. This guy that started his agenda in 1844 more than likely had a thought of bringing in a new religion in hopes of prospering from it. I don't know, I would have to study Him and his cause. I have no agenda other than that of my Lord and Savior to see as many people give their lives over to the Lord before they run out if TIME!
