The thing about Wood's agent is he waited until Woods retired to get his "patriotism". As long as he was making money he was OK with Wood's politics.

Actor James Woods and lifelong Democrat Alan Dershowitz are being shunned by liberals over politics.

Woods, an outspoken Trump supporter, said he received an email from his talent agent severing their relationship. The agent, Ken Kaplan, said dropping Woods on Independence Day was a "patriotic" move.

This came after Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor emeritus, revealed in an op-edthat he has been snubbed lately by old friends in Martha's Vineyard for his legal analysis on the Mueller probe.

Dershowitz: Martha's Vineyard Liberals Who Shunned Me Are Actually Helping Trump

He wrote:

I am opposed to appointing a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and I was against it for Trump. I am a liberal Democrat in politics, but a neutral civil libertarian when it comes to the Constitution.

But that is not good enough for some of my old friends on Martha’s Vineyard. For them, it is enough that what I have said about the Constitution might help Trump. So they are shunning me and trying to ban me from their social life on Martha’s Vineyard. One of them, an academic at a distinguished university, has told people that he would not attend any dinner or party to which I was invited. He and others have demanded “trigger warnings” so that they can be assured of having “safe spaces” in which they will not encounter me or my ideas. Others have said they will discontinue contributions to organizations that sponsor my talks.

Melissa Francis said Americans need to return to an atmosphere where people can disagree on politics while remaining friendly.

"The lack of tolerance has been mind-boggling to me. I don't know when it was OK before to out and shun and vilify people for having a different political point of view," said Francis.

Lisa Boothe said she was "shunned" at a local dog park recently after two women there found out she's a conservative.

"They stopped being nice to me," she said, adding she'd love to have a beer with Dershowitz, since it'd be "fascinating conversation."

David Asman said it seems like "Washington is everywhere" nowadays, meaning that so many people want to talk about President Trump and politics.
