Here's a companion list of the top ten poverty stricken, major cities:

1. Detroit, MI – 32.5%
2. Buffalo, NY – 29.9%
3. Cincinnati, OH – 27.8%
4. Cleveland, OH – 27.0%
5. Miami, FL – 26.9%
6. St. Louis, MO – 26.8%
7. El Paso, TX – 26.4%
8. Milwaukee, WI – 26.2%
9. Philadelphia, PA -25.1%
10. Newark, NJ – 24.2%

What 2 things do all these cities have in common?
1. They are all heavily defacratic.
2. They all have (except for Miami who's mayor is an independent in name only) defacrat mayors.

Is it just coincidence? Of course not but some on here will want to blame it on everyone except the people who ARE to blame. That being defacrat politicians and the stupid defacrat voters who keep electing them.

i have been biting my tongue for months! i , for one , am SICK of this!!!

kperk, can you please stop renaming everything liberal in the world because you don't agree! it is getting old and i am not the only one that feels this way! it is not funny! there is no humor in your obvious hatred of the libs. PLEASE STOP! you would be much more accepted and maybe even develop an audience if you would only stop the senseless trash talk! consider this some friendly advice!
The problem is the "sarcasm" gets old after a while. As such it causes an opinion to be formed. I don't believe kperk is ignorant. I do feel like he enjoys "stirring the pot" and seems to be very successful at it. He is also very successful at making his point about the last presidential election. I think I can guess how he will vote at the next election. Smiler

Hey dopie, I used to be a democrat. Take my word for it, there is no better definition for today's party than defacrat. Well there are several but they would get edited.

And to you baldhead, you guys started this and have kept it up for 8 years. It's not fair of us to let you carry the burden all alone so I have stepped forward to help. If you don't like it, you and the green lady can go hug a tree. Big Grin

green eyes,

Aren't you special!
I did, I also recognized the ignorance. Just like I did in this statement you posted.

Spongebutt, debating you would be like debating a deaf mute. No offense to the deaf mutes.

but i wrote this from the top of a tree! Big Grin
Green and Clean! Big Grin

It's never clean on the top of a tree. You might want to check the top of your head. Eeker
I did not check the facts, but if they are Democrats then how can one argue that they are not Democrats. The problem may be a reversal of cause and effect in some ways, but I am not sure if that is the full reason.

Local politics does not always follow the flavor of national politics. And we all know that anywhere there is any politics there is certainly trouble brewing. But let us set that aside.

I would propose that right now a majority of people on the lower end of the socioeconomic scale would be Democrat. I would submit your first three cities contain a high number of those people. Also you usually find an increased crime rate where poverty resides. But that doesn't explain the entire list.

Las Vegas and Stockton are surprises to me. Granted I don't know much about Stockton so I can't understand. Las Vegas may have something to do with organized crime (isn't that analogous to politics?).

What else is surprising? The cities missing. I would have thought Los Angeles would have beaten Las Vegas. I am also surprised to not see East St. Louis, Illinois. I don't suggest wondering around East St. Louis at night if you don't know where you are going.

That was the extent of the lists. I'm sure the cities you mentioned are hot on the heels of the cities on those lists. I was surprised that Birmingham, New Orleans, and Atlanta were beaten out also.

Hear that a lot from dimocrats.

Do you read the posts or do you just want to sling an insult? I basically said I give the argument because I didn't see a need to check the facts. The truth is the truth. If the leaders are Democrats then they are Democrats and I don't feel like there is a need to check the facts. You make me think you have some deep unmet need that you need to overcome.

If you wish, I will be glad to take an IQ test with you. You might top off the scale. I do know where I will fall and it won't be low. I assure you that there is no reason to call people dim.

I don't want to be slinging insults so I give you credit that you might not be on the low end. But I can assure you that you would have some stiff competition.

I am slowing my participation down on this board strictly because the TimesDaily has disappointed me in allowing the board to be a mud pit rather than a discussion board. I don't need to hear about the last XX years either. I didn't participate on this forum. Check my posts. I condemn such activity from anyone.

So our Governor runs our City? I'll ask the Mayor to see if this is true. We can save money by doing away with all mayors then.

Not really. I just discount the post. You can take my advice or leave it.

Please show where I said the Gov runs the city. I said the Gov is the responsible for the affairs of the state. Crime in cities fall under that. Yes the Mayors are responsible but the Govs are more responsible. But hey in the game of politics most Govs simply say "I'm not the Mayor" and Mayors say "We need more state help, talk to the Gov."

Finally, it is the law abiding citizens that are caught in the cross hairs, and are punished by criminals and lack of true political leadership.

In case you have not noticed, there is, and long has been, a strong correlation between gambling and crime, including organized crime. That Las Vegas--a gambling Mecca--is contaminated by crime should be no surprise at all! The city's latest tourism motto is, "What happens here stays here," meaning you can go to Las Vegas, partake of the depravity, including rampant prostitution, and then go back home and no one will find out what kind of vile activity you have been up to. That seems to be consistent with the city's standing in the crime rankings, doesn't it? Alabamians who want increased gambling in our state should take note.

As long as Dimocrats confiscate my hard earned money from me and my family, I will call them dims and sometimes worse. Especially when they take my money and give it to people who can but won’t work…..especially when they take my money and give it to illegal immigrants for free health care and college tuition……especially when they take my money and waste it on our education system…… especially when they spend $2 billion for the Neighborhood Stabilization Fund, providing funds to organizations such as ACORN, which has been accused of practicing unlawful voter registration in recent elections…..I could go on and on.

My real contention was the overwhelming majority of voters in these cities are defacrats thus explaining the city governments loaded with defacrats. Together they've driven down the major cities.

In my previous line of work in the Birmingham area, our sales plan was built around the welfare schedule. That was totally sad.

If you want to see what awaits us as we head down this road, here's a good story on how muslims are destroying Denmark through the welfare system. Link

Kperk, while your terminology might be colorful and even odorous to some, the correct terminolgy is, "The People's Socialistic Democratic (Worker's) Party of America", aka, PSDPA... Cool
