I promise I'm not picking on anyone in particular, and I am the last person that should be correcting others about their spelling, ....wait for it..... BUT, I've seen the word used at least six times on these forums today, and iT Is DrIvInG mE cRaZy.

This is a cut and paste from another thread: "I do not personally know anyone on here, I am not in the 'click'".

Folks, we "click" on the icon, but people belong to "cliques". Please, please, please, for my sanity's sake, please stop using "click" incorrectly.

Thank you. My psychiatrist has more pressing issues to deal with.

You had best take a few anti-crazy pills then. There's a few on here who think punctuation is what you get when you get a nail in your tire, think capitalization means going to Montgomery or Washington DC, and think grammar is that sweet old lady you visit on holidays.
That would be me! I'm top runner on the poo-poo list, glad to be recognized anyway.

Your right I never proof read, and I have developed alot of this slouchy writing from text messages.
I'll work on it but no money back guarentee, you may need to skip over anything I write......no disrespect..
I have more good news for you. There are no cliques here either. Some of us know each other better because we've simply been reading each other's words longer. That does not denote a clique or the negativity associated with that word. If you got jumped on for something, consider yourself part of the imaginary clique then because we've all been jumped on ourselves.

Some of the ladies met once upon a time for supper but all forum ladies were invited. A few of us met because we worked together on a Christmas gift that all forum members were invited to participate in. Some people may figure out they know each other from time to time. Again, none of that equals a clique. Sorry, that drives me nuts much like using click for clique drives CM nuts. Just thought that since the subject was out there, I'd pounce. Smiler

As I noted, I'm the last person who should be correcting people, I can't spell and I'm grammar impaired, but this one is sending me over the top.

Normally it is no problem, and I'm a major offender. 100 mg of Zoloft goes a long way toward keeping me even-keeled, but I promise, I've seen it spelled wrong six times TODAY, and I just can't take it any more. Eeker
The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
Gutentag herr Bud!!!!
I used to know German, a long time ago. Maybe I need to brush up!

The 'click' is not as bad to me as all the crappy shortcuts used for text messaging. Why spend 30 minutes typing out a message that cost 15 cents to send and receive when you can call them for free and it only takes 15 seconds???

xD I don't know why, but that cracked me up. Big Grin

I'm guilty, I wrote click instead of clique on one of the posts yesterday (or was it today?).

I knew it was spelled wrong, but was too lazy to go back and fix it. My net was lagging really bad, and opening that little edit button would have been a pain in the rear. Big Grin

I'll try to do better next time, Crusty. Big Grin
