Hi all,

I just counted the posts on the Religion Forum.  At this time, 6:55 PM California time, of the 25 discussion on the front page -- 12 are from Vic.   And, the amazing thing about that is -- of those 12 discussion begun by Vic -- the only thing he typed in all 12 of those initial posts WAS HIS PERIOD!

Well, I suppose we can assume from that -- Vic's posts are definitely not pregnant with originality, intelligence (at least not Vic's), nor initiative.

But, in his defense -- I suppose it does thrill him to see his avatar spread all over the Religion Forum -- even though they are only PERIODIC!   Smile, God loves us all!

Bless his little PERIOD heart!

Bill

Contendah, my Friend,

That would be a toss-up between you and me.  However, I would prefer to read my writings -- only because your writings have too many page-long paragraphs.  It seems you have never learned the meaning of and use of the paragraph.

But, I will give you, and myself, credit.  At least when we post the writing comes from our own thoughts -- and not from a Vatican copy/paste.  And, you and I do not have to restrict our contribution in the writing -- to just a PERIOD!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

I don't.  Bill's obvious objective is to blanket the forum with his religious hobbies, especially (1) his persistent, hermeneutically-distorted Calvinistic concept of "perseverance of the saints", a.k.a. "once saved-always saved", a doctrine that is utterly unsupportable in scripture; and (2) his   fantasy delusions about such "end times" mythologies as "The Rapture", "The Antichrist," and the asinine multiple-judgment scenario that has infested his analytically-compromised thought processes. Bill wishes to come off in this forum as a Bible scholar, but his scholarship apparently got frozen in place a couple of decades ago when he came under the influence of a bunch of wacky cultists led by the regrettable Chuck Smith, the late founder of the "Jesus People" movement and himself a devotee of the zany premillennialist nonsense that has enjoyed something of an upsurge in recent days owing primarily to two factors: (1) the public appetite for fantasy and sensationalism; and (2) widespread Biblical illiteracy.

Contendah, my Friend,

If you choose to follow Herbert W. Armstrong -- that is your business.

However, I will follow God and His Bible.

Joshua 24:15, “If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Crusty, my Friend,

I realize I may be speaking of something with which YOU are not familiar.  But, try to imagine going into a worship service and all you hear from the pastor is, "Period!  Period!  Period!" -- on, and on, and on, ad infinitum -- how long would it take you to fall asleep?

If you went into a Bible Study (forgive the use of things unfamiliar to you) and all you hear from the study leader is, "Period!  Period!  Period!" -- on, and on, and on, ad infinitum -- how long would it take you to fall asleep?

You have to admit that even you would begin to question the smarts of that pastor or study leader.

Christian forums, discussions, Bible studies, etc. -- should be venues where one can go to discuss Biblical issues, learn more about God's Word, and grow in Biblical maturity.   How much growth is found in "Period!  Period!  Period!"?

When Jesus Christ gave us the Great Commission -- He told us to be His witnesses in all the world -- not to put folks asleep with "Period!  Period!  Period!?

Maybe you can see my point.  And, then, maybe not -- for you like to do all your communications with numbers.  So, what the hey!   To each his own.   I will stay with God and keep sharing His Word.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

No Bill, I don't think your attack on Vic was Christ-like.

Have you asked God for forgiveness?

Compared to the nonsense that you "write" here - often just a copy and paste with a short paragraph saying it is coming - "period, period, period" is more entertaining.

Your original post qualifies you for the Tool of the Day Award.  Congratulations.

Crusty, my Friend,

Most pastors who subscribe to a sermon service use those like most of us use commentaries -- to seek ideas of how to present a Scriptural issue.  I will often look at a number of Biblical commentaries to gain insight from others who have gone before me; but, then I always look back at the true Bible commentary, the Bible itself, when doing my writing.  I am sure that most pastors who subscribe to a sermon service do the same.

Yet, I will admit that there are some who are lazy and will, just as does our Friend, Vic -- just copy/paste verbatim what another has already written.  Those kind of pastors are easy to identify.  The church fellowship they pastor -- is rapidly declining as members leave to seek a teacher who can feed them with real meat -- and not just milk.

On the other hand, we also have large "feel good" churches, à la Joel Osteen, where people go there to seek only "milk" instead of Scriptural truths.

And, then we have many folks such as you who do not even drink the "milk" -- preferring to stay home on Sundays or go fishing.   It takes all kinds to fill our world.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Crash, my Friend,

What you are seeing - is really a blessing in disguise.   As I have shared several times on the Religion Forum -- now that the anti-God Cabal all have me on Block -- that gives me more free time to write and post more productive articles.

You see, when I have to get involved (even to a small degree) in your "spitting contests" -- that takes away time I could spend more effectively writing new articles through which I can share the Word of God.

So, when you and your buddies have me Blocked, I thank you!  And, I am sure that God thanks you, for now I can concentrate more on the writing ministry He has given me.   Believe me, He and I do appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

1) BG, you are not the boss of Invictus.  He has the legal right to post on the forum in whatever style he chooses.

2) you honestly wasted time counting post? Dude, seriously?
You need a hobby.

3) learn the below definition:

Humility
This is an attitude or quality of mind [Acts 20:19] whereby a person holds low esteem or opinion of his own goodness and importance. Spiritually, one abases himself because he realizes his sinfulness and therefore he is willing to depend on God to meet His needs. It is the opposite of pride, haughtiness, and self-exaltation.

David, my Friend,

I realize that you are way too young to remember Sgt. Joe Friday of the old Dragnet television show, but he would frequently implore female informants to provide "Just the facts, ma'am.  Just the facts!"

And, that is what I am pointing out about our dear Friend, Vic -- the fact that 98% of the many, many discussions he starts -- have zero content from the mind of Vic, if there is such a thing.  Also, I have pointed out what Vic himself  told us -- that he often post those 100% copy/paste posts -- JUST as an attempt to start an argument.   "Those are the facts, ma'am!"

But, I do believe you would be defending him even if you knew he was 100% wrong -- because you consider him a Roman Catholic -- and you feel that you must defend any Roman Catholic, no matter what they write -- if a Protestant disagrees with him.

So, with those facts, "just the facts, ma'am" -- I will leave you to defend your erroneous compadre.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

He does not have to post what's on his mind.  No one here is competing for a Pulitzer Prize in journalism.  He is simply sharing articles.   There's nothing wrong with that.
Who are you to tell Invictus how to post on a small town newspaper forum.  You are in no position to critique writing styles and you certainly do not have leadership skills.

Hi David,

This morning a Friend posted the following graphic on Facebook -- and it fits perfectly with your last couple of posts.  It is the perfect example of what the Liberals call "free speech."  In other words, in the mind of a Liberal, "We are free to say, do, or write whatever we want.  But, if you disagree you are being nasty, racists, homophobic, hateful, etc., on and on and on."

It seem that Winston Churchill had a lot of experience dealing with Liberals, because he nails it in that quote.  Bless their confused little hearts!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

David, my Friend,

You tell me YOU are Winston Churchill.  Since I have seen many photos of him, but none of you -- you may well look like Winnie.  But, that is beside the point.

Here I am addressing the issue of the LIBERAL versus the Conservative.  And, I do believe that in my Conservative view, I do favor dear Winnie.   No, not physically, since I am tall and not too stout -- and he was rather short and squat.

And, with you -- I do see LIBERAL all the way.  Regarding the physical aspect, I can't say -- are you rather short and squat?

But, being a gentleman, I will give you the last word.   Go ahead, take your shot!

Bless your heart!

David, my Friend,

I do not bear false witness against you by saying that you are Liberal.  We have to keep in mind that the flag "Liberal" can be a political flag, or it can be a Christian/Religious flag.  Since I have no knowledge of your voting habits -- the only thing I can comment on is your Liberal Religion view.

Since you hold to the Roman Catholic religion -- and since it has always been very obvious that the Roman Catholic church stands on Liberal religious views -- then, I must assume that you follow your church in being Liberal in your religious views.  And, many of your posts here do show you to be on the Liberal side of the religious world.

I am happy to learn that you do not look like Winston Churchill.  He was a brilliant man, but not much in the looks department.

When you tell me that you do not vote for either Democrat or Republican; then you are telling me that you just throw your vote out the window.   I will be the first to agree that both the Democrat and the Republican parties leave MUCH to be desired, but they are the only real game in town.

And, since that is a fact of life -- for now, it would seem the best thing to do is to work to make one of those parties into what YOU want it to be, to follow the beliefs and morals you feel are right.  Just walking away and throwing your vote down the well accomplishes nothing.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi all,

Once more, as of today, we have twelve PERIODs posted by our dear Vic -- but, NOT A WORD or original thought coming from him.

Which I suppose is a blessing.  At least we know he definitely is not pregnant!   His mind might be empty of any abilities except "Google" and "Copy/Paste" -- but, he ain't pregnant!   Praise the Lord!

And, at least we who do post our thoughts can know that we are not competing with dear Vic in the intelligence arena.  Unless there is now a competition for who can post the most PERIODS!

Bless his little Google/Copy/Paste heart!

Bill

Crash, my Friend,

How can anyone be jealous of a person who is limited to posting only PERIODS?   That would be like seeing a person with a handicap -- and saying, "Oh, gee, I wish I had that handicap!"   Duh!

No, my Friend, we do not wish to share his handicap, only do our best to help him overcome it.  We would do the same with any person with a handicap or limitation.  Being "thought challenged" is a limitation -- just as being in a wheel chair limits a person's ability to be mobile.

We do not look down upon folks with a challenge.  We do our best to help them overcome their limitations.  Bringing it to the attention of folks is more help than just ignoring it and telling ourselves it is not a limitation.

So, our dear Friend, Vic, is extremely "thought challenged" -- and is limited to only being able to Google, copy/paste, and type PERIODS.   We really need to be aware of and sensitive to his condition.

Bless your helpful little heart!

Hi all,

As you all know, several times I have called Vic to task about his inability to write a post -- and the fact that the only semi-intelligible posts he ever makes are those that he copy/pastes from the writings of other people -- and all he adds are his PERIODS.

Well, reading the two posts above from him and Crash -- I can understand his reluctance to attempt to write anything original.  With their childish 2nd grade broken-English -- I am not surprised to see that neither of them can post more than short cryptic few lines of blathering.

Come to think of it -- I have seen better speaking and writing coming from 2nd grade students -- than what we see coming from these two supposedly adult men.  As much as I hate to admit it, there are obvious times when the Alabama education system has definitely failed.  And, these two Friends are prime examples of that periodic failure.

Just thinking out loud; but, maybe you two could to back for some remedial education and learn to speak and write the English language a wee bit better.   Just a thought!

Bless your "English challenged" little hearts,

Bill

Bill Gray,

For all your pedantic remonstrances against others for alleged illiteracy, it would appear that your own standards for correct English usage are found wanting in your selection of the silly-ass Flintstone cartoon you posted. Twice in that item, the possessive ("save's"; "live's")  is used where the plural should have been, a lamentably common error all too often committed by the literacy-challenged.  Moreover, a period is lacking after (what should have been) "lives".

Have you still not realized, Bill, that your snarky, snide, snotty little "Bless your_____ heart" closures are clearly seen by recipients as anything but Christian?  Shame!

I am so happy that YOU and your posts can serve as examples of how a Christian should post on the Religion Forum.   Your Christian words and attitude are truly inspirational to me -- and I am sure to many others.

Oh, by the way, I realize that you think that I walk on water and create all the graphics I post -- but, my Friend, I did not create that graphic.  I only use it to emphasize the happiness of being a Christian believer.  I pray that you can feel that same elation.

Bless your little Christian Armstrong heart!

It is glaringly obvious, Bill, that you do not walk on water. You fumble and stumble clumsily along the pages of scripture, selecting passages that you distort to promote your OSAS/Multiple Judgment/ Cafeteria Calvinist mongerel theology.

I never stated or implied that you created that silly ass cartoon.  I referred to your "selection" of it, not your creation of it. It is well known on this forum that you are relentlessly given to posting such tripe, even though it contributes nothing of substance to the discussions you contaminate.

Contendah, my Friend,

I really love the way you share YOUR Christian faith.  It really puts a lump in my throat to see such Christian unity and love flowing from your posts.   I am sure that God is just as pleased.  Your Christian witness is so inspiring.
