I am just wondering. I would put it in the post we had going on the things we wonder about but I decided to start a new one on this
I have been watching the series on Queen Elizabeth and the Monarcy that has been on APT latley. And I saw one on ,I think it was 20/20. Wow so much Pomp and formal activities. every thing and I mean every thing planned down to the T
But what I am wondering about.... what does Queen Elizabeth have in her royal purse? She has one hanging over her arm in all most all of the shots of her. Just a purse hanging over her royal arm. And she looks uncomfortable with it sometime like "where can I put this" like any of us old ladies would. has her arm bent at the elbow, that royal purse hanging there. What can possibly be in it? Her ID? DUH I wouldn't think so. Money?(why) creditn cards?(why) a gun? she has tons of body guards. Her make up and comb? she has people for that. What can she possibly have in it? and if she is the queen why doesn't someone carry it fot her? like on a pillow or something
And another thing. Every thing is so formal every thing done with the correct ediquit ( ed-a kit) (boy there is one I can't spell)
does the queen fart? And if she does, say will she have episodes of farting every step like all old ladies do sometime? or if she coughs, sneezes, bends over.... sits or stands etc. and if she does, does she excuse herself?
or does one of "her people" excuse her? Or does one of her staff who may be standing close by take the blame(or credit) for it and looked embarressed etc. And if she farts, how do all the dignitaries and the other people around her keep a straight face in all that formal surrounding?
But I won't be able to sleep till I know....What could possibly be in that purse?

I wouldn't want to be "presented" to her tho, and have to curtsey like you are required to do when "presented" or introduced
even if I closley watched my diet for a year even. I just wouldn't know how to act in that formal of a seting every thing so proper. me being old and all the curtsey might just lead to embarressment for me and a high insult to her

Doggy treats for the Corgis and a bottle of scotch?
all of these answers sound reasonable. those things I never thought of. but I wonder why don't her "attendants" carry that stuff for her. I can see in a private meeting with dignataries she wouldn't have an attendant.
I'm not jealous CrustyMac. just fasinated. and I can tell you I could never live that "proper" "dignified" formal etc. I would be uncomfortable to attend ONE event and be that prim and proper etc. I would probaly be escorted out with armed guard carrying me out by the arm pits. Don't want to live my life like that. remember, I grew up in winston county Ala, proud of it too
I had heap rather walk into a gatrhering and say "Well hey ya'll" (instead all that pomp and circumstance, going around doing all that curtsieing) and sit down to a good meal..pick up a ketchup bottle squeez ketchup onto my plate, with the bottle making a farting noise, pick up a a big old french fry with my fingers
rake it through the ketchup and eat it any day than eat in that kind of enviroment
Vick 13,I know lots and lots of little old ladies to. Though the work I used to do (nurse)
i saw hundreds of litle ole ladies at home, coming into the hospital, rolling into ER on a gurney and there they would be with their arm bent at the elbow , a purse hanging there. And for gosh sake don't try to touch it or move it either!!!!! I like the idea of the panties tho. some of mine carried wash cloths. they usualy kept wash cloths in the crotch of their panties so if they had a leak, they could remove the soiled wash cloth and put on a clean one. but I woulld think the Queen would have someone carry that for her.
That is why it is so funny to me she has that purse hanging there.... cause all the little old ladies do.
as I said in the above post. now I know what is in the purse. found it very interesting. but no one answered the question about if the queen farts. I mean if you have seen on t.v or happen to know because you know the queen and get invited to visit the her EVERYTHING is planned down to the tee
I mean the measure the distance all the plates, forks etc on every table in a large banquet hall. Each item or every single table are the exact distance apart, from the edge of the table every thing. boys take lessons on how to carry the train of her robe. the timing on when to serve which item timed to the second.. serve the water at 8 pm, the bread at 802, the salad at 808.. remove salad plates at 830 every body acts so proper. the guards standing stiff, not smiling or responding to the events around them, etc. all the dignateries standing there and bowing and curtsying. can you imagine a fart in that enviroment? every body standing behind that chain barrier just wanting to touch the queen etc
well I googled "does the queen fart" and if she does, does she excuse herself? or act like it didn't happen. Well! believe it or not, up poppede several web sites answering this question!!!! I was astonished! Other people think like me.( I always need to fart in the most embarressing circumstances, being a old lady and all). I laughed till I hurt and tears ran down my face. I clicked on the second site on the list. The answers were hilalarious.
but the best answer by far, and the one I decided to go with is
"CERTAINLY NOT!!!!"
all the royal family are trained at a very early age on "phart management"
so now I know the answer to that question.
yes, I am happy now
