10 minutes away is convenient.
A timesaver i used when moving was to not take contents out of drawers and pack them in boxes. Just take the drawers out of the dresser, etc. and use the drawer itself as the box. Put a towel on top and kinda tuck it around the contents to keep them contained. Aren't boxes sometimes hard to find since stores break them down now?
I know a good place to get all the banana boxes you want? Banana boxes are good for moving, don't you think?
I am not planning on taking all of the junk with me. If it hasn't been wore or used in 6 months, it is outta here. Do ya'll think that is a good idea?

Only for clothes.
only for the deck and street, none for the grass. if it rains on the grass wouldn't i have to cut it again?

Nope, we have an Aunt with tons and tons of kids and grand and great grand kids, we take anything that is not junk to her and all of them have a field day. What they do not want, she takes to her Church. That is nice of her don't you think?

allysmom, is it nice to have a new start?

New start yes, going to be out in the boonies more than we are now, new house pmt. scares the H*** out of me,lol. Anybody else build a new house and their house pmt. is going to be about 4 times what they are paying for their current place?

could you please????
Giving to a family that needs the stuff is much better than giving to a store. 4X as much payment for the new house? that is scary. My house 59 years old, but isn't it good when payments are less that $300. a month?
That new house pmt. is very scary, where we live now is 17 yrs. old and is almost paid for, but we wanted to live on some land we have owned that has been in the family for years. We are having to borrow extra money to finish, we could not build it for what the bank man said we could, anyone else had that problem?
allysmom, I do a lot of work on new homes, and I have not yet seen where one did not go over budget and not have to borrow more money to finish their home. Did you sell your old house ?
why does that happen? do the lenders think if you have borrow more to finish then by then interest rates will be a bit higher so they can do a little extra gouging?

I am glad it is not just us, we had no idea that this went on all the time. We are selling our house and land to our son who is getting married next month. We were just going to give it to him, but he is going to have to buy it now, but at a great discount. Hopefully it will keep us from having to go to the bank and get more money. Our banker told us that if we needed more money to finish it would be no problem, they probably knew up front that we would have to borrow more money. Do you think the banks do this to everybody?
The problem we have been expierincing is the cost of doing business has went up dramaticly, but the banks will not loan more. Don't you think they have a control on us?
Don't you think a lot of the retailers suck for the way they treat their employees?
Yep, I worked for about 1 1/2 yrs. for a big retailer (not wal-mart), I went to work there after my youngest started school and I did not want to stay home all day, Ended up getting really burned out, mostly from the customers....Did you know that they can really be big pains in the ass I mean butt?
You hit the nail on the head. Did you know that about 95% of them are usually wrong and just trying to get by with something?
I've been cussed on many occasions by idiots, err customers because we were out of something or some minor thing that I had nothing to do with. Don't that suck?
Yep, it sucks. If some of them heard themselves, do you think they would be ashamed?
I use to think customers that have also worked retail were a bit kinder than those that had not. I don't think that's true now, do you?
This is the wonderful Peyton Manning being congratulated.....Do you think it is time to change the avatar again?

????????
Follow the light, PuF. You are getting very sleepy & you see crimson...beautiful crimson jerseys. Can you scream "Roll Tide Roll" with passion yet?
No, no, no. Did you know being a Cht. that spent 14 years married to a sportscaster makes me immune to your suggestions?
It appears you're immunity is too strong for Bama fanaticide. What if I threw in Big Al as part of the package? What does Cht. stand for?
hmm, did he have gray hair, a long nose, the purdiest blue eyes, a slight weight problem and have a giant red A emblazoned across his chest? Big Grin
haha...oh well, sounds like the same Big Al to me. Did you ever have something funny or strange happen during a patient's hypnosis? Or maybe you can't say?
I had a few clients revert to foreign languages during regressions. One was someone i had known all my life and i knew she had never studied Italian, yet under hypnosis she spoke it fluently. Isn't that cool?
Been off for a little while. The daughter made me a bet I could not stay off the computer for a week. I bet her if I did when we moved, she would have to sleep in her own room, and no more sneaking into our bed at night now. Guess who won?
No it wasn't bad, I did wonder what was going on though...btw daughter lost the bet, I knew she would is the reason I bet with her to start with.
I have, and it does work once the reason for the weight is found (if not medical) and there is a serious desire to get rid of it. Hypnosis is a very strong reinforcement of the clients willpower... but you do know it isn't a magic fix?

i like the new avatar.

don't children love it when they find out their parents have outwitted them?
Hey I'm used to it, He has an IQ higher than anyone I've ever known.Anyone else have to deal with that?
My 2yr.old grandson had taken some of the stickers that my husband puts on the trucks after he services them,I said;Did grampa say you could play with his stuff? He comes out with;Paw-paw didn't say No.Don't ya'll think he's going to be gramma's revenge on his daddy, for all the hardtimes he has given me?

I had a brand new grandaughter born yesterday.
I tried hypnosis to loose that last ten pounds. I couldn't relax in the chair. I kept a running critique of the guy's style going in my head like, "he needs to sound more soothing, he needs to clear his throat, he hasn't hypnotized me yet? What's wrong with him?" Needless to say i didn't loose much weight.

LOL...not exactly conducive to a successful session is it?

Congrats, YW! Do they live close enough for you to spoil her rotten?
Thank you,she is beautiful and yes,she lives just down the road.I spoil them all. It's easy to do when you know they are going home at the end of the day, isn't it? Big Grin
I'll never have grandchildren so i get happiness from those that do. Is there such a thing as a vicarious grandma?
You know you're very lucky, right?
I never knew how much fun grandchildren are. I have a 3 year old who is my "best friend", her words. We cook, color, go to the flea market all while painted in multicolored nail polish with henna tattoes (is that spelled right?) and lots of hair bows. And all dressed in baby pink, "hot pink" is not "her" pink.

She loves to "fix mimi up". I know I look deranged. But to her we are "twins". So I don't care. And the best thing about grandchildren, the best after watching the daughter who put you through 7 years of teenager hell, is knowing that when the granddaughter is 13 and her mom is too dorky for word, I will still be "The Queen Mimi" to her "Princess Lainey".

that sounds adorable! a real girly-girl, eh?

and i have thought of the foster grandma thing....maybe someday?
A glimpse into my evening and weekend world:
My son is obsessed with the alphabet and spends 99% his at home time sitting in the living room floor with his ABC puzzles, phonic boards and favorite ABC book. Sometimes he plays/works on his own, but mostly he expects me to call out each letter (verbally or with sign) at random then he, according to which toy it is, picks it up, writes it or traces it with his finger, then lets me know when he's ready for the next one.
Sooooo, i spend most of my time reading, sewing, writing, working out, computing, etc. Anything that keeps me close by most of the time.
If i go to another room he still lets me know he's ready for the next letter and i yell one back at him. Sometimes, if i tell him i'm busy , he'll work alone for a few minutes.
More answer than you expected? but it explains why i live vicariously through others...lol

what are you doing today?
I went to the LifeWise luncheon, bought myself a present and my son made me a card at school. It was a very good birthday. Thank you for asking.
I'm here, but getting my son ready for bed in a few minutes. Then i'm taking a long shower. Doesn't that feel good after getting hot and sweaty?
Oh yea, no doubt about it. Don't you think there is one hot and sweaty that no one minds?
yeaaa, the kind of hot and sweaty that even AC doesn't help until it's over, right?

i remember that kind Smiler
I sometimes make myself blush. The real, old fashioned me is sometimes shocked at what the forum me blurts out.....lol.

I think, with me, it's a case of those that can, do,
and those that never have a chance to,
talk about it ?
I have not been out in it much. It is even hot inside though. Reckon it will get hotter still?
i went in Hobby Lobby today and they have their Autumn stuff already on display and they're putting out Christmas stuff. Not surprising, right?

pretty soon, christmas season will be all year long just to make the retailers happy.
We are going on vacation the first week of August. I guess that is a bad time to be going?
North Carolina, going to the Cherokee Reservation, Ghost Mountain and a few other places. You think that will be fun with a bunch of girl scouts?
Yep. Well, it's really a Tupperware bowl inside a wooden breadbox that i put a small hasp and lock on.
Ever seen a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with a padlock?

My son certainly doesn't go hungry, but he also doesn't know what moderation means. It's tied into the autism.
And having to ask (sign, sound or picture) for a snack or drink is good for his communication skills.
Accually I was commenting on PUF's post "do decks shrink when they get wet?" My decks, fences are all swollen tight together from all the rain lately. Cant shut one of my gates because it is so swollen. So accually I answered wrong to a later question from PUF, "is the answer to your question yes?" I should have answered no. Sorry for all the confusion I have caused.I have brain farts all too often lol
No need to be sorry Imax. Didn't you know we all loved to talk about decks??
No answers, but we love talking about decks so much it flows onto more than one post, doesn't it?????
..flowing decks ?? I'm going to have to change subject, quick Razzer Anyone watching Braves tonight ??
Isn't talking about the Vol's like having a root canal?????

(sorry allysmom, couldn't resist, hehe)
Don't you think this discussion is really "pushing the envelope" for a public forum such as this??? Don't you find all this talk about orgasms, lubricants, etc. to be rather amusing?
