10 minutes away is convenient.
A timesaver i used when moving was to not take contents out of drawers and pack them in boxes. Just take the drawers out of the dresser, etc. and use the drawer itself as the box. Put a towel on top and kinda tuck it around the contents to keep them contained. Aren't boxes sometimes hard to find since stores break them down now?
you're doing it just right. you can play with us anytime, okay?
I know a good place to get all the banana boxes you want? Banana boxes are good for moving, don't you think?

I am not planning on taking all of the junk with me. If it hasn't been wore or used in 6 months, it is outta here. Do ya'll think that is a good idea?
Like, do the yard sale thing. That's a good idea, right?

Only for clothes.
do you like Loaves and Fishes for getting rid of clothes you don't wear?
allysmom, is it nice to have a new start?
i've never had one...is a new house nice?
I've never had a new house either, is the rain over with?
it rained?
Yeah it did a little about 430 this morning. are you saying it didn't rain where you are?
dry deck, dry street and dry steps mean no rain, right?
do you want me to order you some rain?
only for the deck and street, none for the grass. if it rains on the grass wouldn't i have to cut it again?
If it don't rain, wont you still mow it?

Nope, we have an Aunt with tons and tons of kids and grand and great grand kids, we take anything that is not junk to her and all of them have a field day. What they do not want, she takes to her Church. That is nice of her don't you think?

New start yes, going to be out in the boonies more than we are now, new house pmt. scares the H*** out of me,lol. Anybody else build a new house and their house pmt. is going to be about 4 times what they are paying for their current place?

why would i if it doesn't grow?
Giving to a family that needs the stuff is much better than giving to a store. 4X as much payment for the new house? that is scary. My house 59 years old, but isn't it good when payments are less that $300. a month?
allysmom (Guest)
That new house pmt. is very scary, where we live now is 17 yrs. old and is almost paid for, but we wanted to live on some land we have owned that has been in the family for years. We are having to borrow extra money to finish, we could not build it for what the bank man said we could, anyone else had that problem?
i don't know anything about building a housse...is that common problem?
bankers lie,anyone agree?
yep. and they're not the only ones, are they?
allysmom, I do a lot of work on new homes, and I have not yet seen where one did not go over budget and not have to borrow more money to finish their home. Did you sell your old house ?
why does that happen? do the lenders think if you have borrow more to finish then by then interest rates will be a bit higher so they can do a little extra gouging?

I am glad it is not just us, we had no idea that this went on all the time. We are selling our house and land to our son who is getting married next month. We were just going to give it to him, but he is going to have to buy it now, but at a great discount. Hopefully it will keep us from having to go to the bank and get more money. Our banker told us that if we needed more money to finish it would be no problem, they probably knew up front that we would have to borrow more money. Do you think the banks do this to everybody?
The problem we have been expierincing is the cost of doing business has went up dramaticly, but the banks will not loan more. Don't you think they have a control on us?
don't banks and insurance companies rule the world?
over on that other thread, news section, I think wal-mart rules tho world. Don't you agree?

Don't you think a lot of the retailers suck for the way they treat their employees?
you're probably right, retail sucks big time. Have you ever worked retail?
allysmom (Guest)
Yep, I worked for about 1 1/2 yrs. for a big retailer (not wal-mart), I went to work there after my youngest started school and I did not want to stay home all day, Ended up getting really burned out, mostly from the customers....Did you know that they can really be big pains in the ass I mean butt?
i've worked retail and isn't it a big fat lie that the customer is always right?
allysmom (Guest)
You hit the nail on the head. Did you know that about 95% of them are usually wrong and just trying to get by with something?
I've been cussed on many occasions by idiots, err customers because we were out of something or some minor thing that I had nothing to do with. Don't that suck?
allysmom (Guest)
Yep, it sucks. If some of them heard themselves, do you think they would be ashamed?
I use to think customers that have also worked retail were a bit kinder than those that had not. I don't think that's true now, do you?
allysmom, in your avatar are they arguing or being smoochy face with one another?
it's hard to tell.
it's hard to tell.
