pssssst....it isn't such a secret.....I have two books by Robert Collier published in the mid 20's and another from '25 by Florence Scovel Shinn that contain the same information and thoughts.

This is an AWESOME book and DVD! I highly recommend it to everyone.
I had been following the same principles for years but never knew what it was called. When I saw the DVD I watched it 3 times back to back and absorbed everything in it.
Since then I have opened 4 businesses, gotten married (for the right reasons), have a nice bank account and a great family. I can contribute most of why it has happened directly to the principles of THE SECRET. I have been using the principles for about 7 years now but found out about THE SECRET about 4 years ago.

The fact that people will believe that the universe will align itself as long as you transmit the proper frequency of brain energy is beyond silly.
"The Secret" is simply religion repackaged with scientific-sounding concepts and words. It has no basis in reality.
Please, folks, snap out of it, Think critically. Ask yourself, "Does this really make sense?"

Pulease. I can say the same but I blame it on working smartly. I didn't say one prayer, didn't transmit invisible brainwaves to the Universe and didn't have to waste time reading mystic mumbo-jumbo.
Life is what YOU make it. Not what the universe makes for you.
Public Thinker, are you saying that if I read this book, I will be better off than I am now? 
All I can say is it IS very motivational. It reminds you that anything is possible if you really want it to be. And honestly, is there any of us that doesn't need a little help every now and then? 
GOFISH....It is clearly obvious that you have not read the book or seen the DVD unless you got the cliffnote version! I can tell you that I have been using this for sometime and I have been much more successfull, much more committed in my marriage and with other relationships, much more positive in the way I look at things and I think about what I want in my life and it seems to come to me much quicker than ever before.
This will not work for everyone because not everyone has the ability to focus on the things they want and concentrate on making them happen. That is why we have so many people wondering around aimlessly that wonder why things don't ever change in their lives.
I feel sorry for those folks.

TACTURN.....I can't tell you anything because I don't know where you are right now in your life.
I can say that I love how this teaches you HOW to think so that you don't get caught in the same rut every day!
Let's look at something........I have a neighbor that has been sick or sickly for as long as I have known her. Every time I ask her how she is doing I get this..I'm tired, I don't feel good, I have been better, Ok right now but I will probably catch something, etc... you get my point. I sat with her before Thanksgiving and had her watch the DVD with me and made her promise to say positive things about her health. I made her concentrate on feeling better. Low and behold, she has not been sick one time from that point on and is in a MUCH better mood since.
It's not a cure all or a miricle but it can help if you concentrate on what lessons you learn and you put out good thoughts. Like I always say...You bring about what you think about!

This is very simple....If you ask for good things to come into your life and believe that they will come and then you are gratefull to have it in your life, then this is a good thing.
Actually, I believe that the spirit world is responding to you FINALLY asking for something positive and that you will be THANKFULL for it when it is in your life.
Thats not a religion, it's just a good way to live!

You are using The Force to command the universe to make you rich! Doesn't that sound just a little off center?
No, Pub, "The Secret" is that all this power you have over your life resides in your head, not in the universe. "The Secret" is that superstition and pseudoscience has held your rational brain hostage long enough.
We, like all living things, are all born as nothing more than genetic transport mechanisms. All our art, science, philosophy and knowledge exist solely for the carriage of our genes to the next generation. We have been slaves to those genes for thousands of millennia.
Rational thought gives you the power to overcome that genetic disposition and perform truly meaningful tasks. Once you truly understand that meaning and joy come from within, you will not need a silly book (or universal spirit or deity) to make the world bend to your needs.
