Proof positive of the complicit ideology of the Dems and the GOP. Sad it is....

"Let's be clear about what it is – when it comes to "withdrawal" from Iraq – that the President will veto this Wednesday. Section 1904(b) of the supplemental appropriations bill for the Pentagon, H.R. 1591, passed by the House and Senate, mandates that the Secretary of Defense "commence the redeployment of the Armed Forces from Iraq not later than October 1, 2007, with a goal of completing such redeployment within 180 days." If you've been listening to network TV news shows or reading your local newspaper with less than an eagle eye, you might well be under the impression that – just as the phrasing above seems to indicate – a Democratic-controlled Congress has just passed a bill that mandates a full-scale American withdrawal from Iraq. (Reporters and commentators regularly speak of the Democrats' insistence that "American troops be withdrawn from Iraq.") But that's only until you start reading the exceptions embedded in the bill."

Read this one... easily missed, and THEN say it is JUST the Democratic Congress doing this...

I cannot believe how easlily swayed billions of Americans are right now... DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS and INDEPENDANT... All so easily led around in such a placated state of mind, and LIKING being in that state of mind....

Our ENTIRE gov't is in colusion with each other, and I am not hollaring just about GWB, I am talking about all of them...

NOW is the time for EACH STATE to really do a check on their representatives, including Alabama because in the final analysis, we are getting screwed!!! And the lies, OMG, the lies, we are swimming in seas of lies.... and it is just now starting...

We simple Americans cannot do anything to stop any of this "back room" plans, we can only Pray to the good Lord above that He allows it ALL to come to our attention before it is too late...

The way our government is operating right now, WE will be the next third world country while their mansions and empires are "built" elsewhere, and we are left holding the bag...

Neese is gonna get out of his crap because of politics, so we think it CANT happen...

I swear, I do NOT know what to do to stop the Roller Coaster Ride that Cheney/Bush has started, but so help me God, I pray with all my heart that God finds a way to stop them... ALL of them, because every person in DC is NOT for the betterment of us, in fact, this is the worst set of Gov't vote-in's I have ever seen in MY lifetime, and I am OLD!!!! If we cannot stop them... they cannot be stopped.
If the Democrats finally give Bush a bill with a blank check like he's had for the last 5 years, I will be so PO ed at the Dems, I don't know who I will vote for in upcoming elections.
I say let Bush veto the approprations bill and give him another just like it. Then get out the word that Bush is refusing to support our troops in the field. That is the same horse hockey the Repubs are using on Dems .
A fact that occured to me about 3 years ago:
Ben Laden said he wanted to destroy the United States economy. Spending (so far) over 1/2 Trillion dollars to prosicute this mess in Iraq puts Bush doing the will of Ben Laden, not to mention wearing down our military, wearing out our military equiptment.
This mess in Iraq (not a war- the war was won almot 4 years ago- "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED") is costing us way more than the money in this appropration bill.
Dems should send a bill to Bush to fund the withdrawal and go on vacation. Let Bush squirm.

Wanna REALLY get P.O.'ed??? Look at the link I just posted... it came from the BILL that Miami posted... it was there for the clicking... I was astounded that inside the Bill, there was this article!!!
KS, I read the link before I posted. I already knew about the shaddow army we are paying for over there. This entire mis-managed mess in Iraq (Mess-o-potania) has just got me so infuriated I can't somehow seem to speak (or write) in a logical manner. I opposed going into Iraq before we ever invaded. I knew about the lies Bush 1 told to get us into the 1st Gulf war, but I still supported it because I thought it was wrong for one soverign nation to invade another. Well, I still think so! What has changed? Mad

Phoenix rising, I have an even better idea, put manditory withdrawel dates in each and every appropriations bill sent to Idiot. If he wants to deny funding to the troops, let him do it.
If he vetos everything, money will run out and we will end this senceless occupation.
We need to get the hell out of Iraq. If it falls into greater caos, well, it's their country- let them kill each other 'till the cows come home. I really don't care.
Still think the war isn't about controlling the region and oil?

And the democrats and republicans both know it, as well as the corporate media, but they lie. Except for a handful of democrats.

They know the American people will not send their children to die for oil profits and will demand safe, renewable alternative energy sources.

The Iraqi people know it and the world knows it but our corporate media and elected leaders, out side a few brave democrats, lie and lead the American people in circles with all kinds of nonsense.

The last line of the Giant Embassy Story is very revealing:

In the chaos of Iraq, one project is on target: a giant US embassy-News-World-Iraq-TimesOnline

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article712424.ece

"Oil production was 2.18 million barrels per day in the last week of March. Before the war it was 2.6 million"
