Just exactly where have you seen a Straight Sex Parade?

I see straight couples holding hands and walking down the sidewalks of Tuscumbia every day at lunch.

and?

maybe i missed something... but..

So?

so couples' hold's hands. whooptee frackin do. is this supposed to be significant?

Yes, it's significant. Yes, you're missing something.

i must be - cause a few couples holding hands doesn't seem like much of a parade to me, regardless of sexual preferance.

i hold my wife's hand al lthe time when ew're out together. sometimes i even (duh duh DAAAAA)Kiss her in public.
if i can do that, why can't a girl kiss her girlfriend, or a guy his boyfriend?

i've no desire to see the latter, but if i can plant one on my wife in the mall, then they should be able to kiss whoever they bloody well please also.

i have no interest in Gay rights. i have no interest in lesbians rights, or womans right or minority rights.

i'm interested in EQUAL right. for everyone, in everything, regardless. Period.

until we reach true equal rights for every one, no special rights for anyone, then we will never become a mature society, and we will continue to wallow in our ignorance of thinking another person isn't as good as us, or as important as us because of things they have no choice over.

Why would you have no problem seeing two girls kiss but you have no desire to see two guys kiss? Honestly, I have no desire to see either. Cool

No, bankhead! Back it up a few pages and you'll see that I've already volunteered to be Grand Marshal. I can't back out now. Bumble has already started sewing on my sequin gown. Big Grin

And Bumble, you better not be using that Bedazzler machine, dammit! I don't want cheap...I'm going to need hand-sewn for my big debut. Big Grin

Something wrong with Elton John?
I can tell by your music choices of Barry Manilow and Elton John that you have no clue about what is popular among gay culture and would make the music selection for this event nothing shy of awful. Yes Elton John is gay, but I think his music is geared to straight people and straight people love his music, doesn't mean you are gay because you enjoy a talented gay man's music. The only song I believe I have ever heard of Elton's in a gay pride parade was "Philadelphia Freedom."

Barry Manilow on the other hand, I don't know any gay people that listen to him. However, my 62 year old mother and her friends love Barry Manilow.

Here are some artists and famous people that gay people like for your future reference when wanting to pick music for a gay event or someone to impersonate if ever you end up feeling the need to dress up for a gay event (list is not all inclusive):

Madonna, Lady Gaga, Ellen Degeneres, Britney Spears, Cher (kudos I think I saw her in the thread at some point), Cyndi Lauper, Elton John (yes someone got that one right), Dolly Parton, Tammy Faye Baker, Opra, Olivia Newton-John, Reba McIntyre, George Micheals, Anderson Cooper, Kylie Minogue, Lucile Ball, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Neal Patrick Harrison (aka Doogie Houser, MD), plus many more that I can't think of.

Well, excuuuuuse me! This is what happens when heterosexuals plan these things. You've got to give me some points for mentioning Streisand and recommending this song for the parade route in earlier posts. Big Grin

(I think you realize that many of these posts are satirical anyway...to aggravate the haters.)

You're the one that doesn't "get the big picture" jr. You must be missing a section out your Bible because my clearly says WHOSOEVER. That doesn't leave anyone out. It doesn't say God condones homosexuality, or murder, or fornication or child molesting. It says he offers forgiveness to ALL. For that matter, neither do I but I don't take it upon myself to declare them ineligible either. BTW, he also doesn't condone HATE or DISCRIMINATION and he certainly didn't hand over the book of eternal judgement to the likes of you. Stop looking at these people you find so undesirable as condemned and start seeing the soul that God loves in each and everyone of them.

This is a silly thread about a pretend parade and not the religious section so I'll stop now.

oh good lord.. maybe i'm gay!?
cause i love madonna. i love gaga. i love ellen. i like britney ok. i don't hate cher but i'm kinda tired of her. i love cyndi lauper. i'm very tired of elton. he's great, mind, but he's over played and over discussed.. just tired of him.
i love dolly, but i hate tammy faye. i like oprah. indifferent about olivia, except in grease, and i love her in grease. love reba.. but this is the shouth, i think you are required to love reba, whether your gay or not. never like george michaels of wham. dunno who anderson cooper is. love kylie, but i love kylie for a few very specific very non-gay. ever seen her video for the song ' slow'? /pantpantpant. i love lucy. anyone with a sense of humor loves lucy. i think judy garland is way over rated, but not as over rated as her daughter. marilyn is ok. she is neither all that, nor a bag of chips, but she had gumption and moxie. i love a woman who tells the guys in charge "screw you bozo's, i'm doing it MY way", and neal partick harris is legen
.
.
.
dery

but if i have to be gay to like that list of talented women, then i guess i'm a big ol `Mo.

and yes, i love The Divine Miss M.
but who's barney frank?
