Cage, that's the cheesiest post I've ever read. Big Grin

I haven't been to a rally, but I did look over the material handed to me by Tea Party Patriots at the First Friday event. I remember thinking that, as suspected, it was propaganda. I did look at their website as well...found much of the same. Sorry, but I'm not interested in being a part of that. If anyone else is, more power to you. Enjoy. Smiler

Instead of blanket accusations why not get into some specifics. Mystery papers don't get it. What exactly do they have on their website that you consider propoganda?

Well, for one, I was told they are bipartisan and they are clearly not bipartisan. Look at their website...do you see them as bipartisan? http://www.teapartypatriots.org/

At the time when I was approached by Tea Party Patriots during a First Friday event, it was propaganda about Obama...not an American citizen, not a real believer, not patriotic, is racist, is a Muslim, friend to terrorists, etc.

Your mistake, other than believing and repeating lies mentioned above, is in believing that politicians of any party are on your side. They do not care about you. In general, they vote according to who gives them the most funds.

Go ahead and be loyal to your party; repeat any absurd rumor about the other side. Get all riled up at each other and defend your party regardless of what they have done. That helps those jerks in office and does nothing to help us.

Also, politicians are so worried about who gets the credit (Dem/Rep) that they get nothing accomplished. They are running a great country in the ground, but golly gee, don't waste your vote. I've got news for you. Every vote is a wasted vote when there isn't a candidate with an ounce of integrity on the ballot.

We need to stop listening to those who have been playing us for fools. Stop doing the same thing over and over again & expecting a different result. We need to individually do our own research and know the truth rather than swallowing whatever our favorite political pundit tells us. Vote according to the truth you find...organize and act. The Tea Party had a chance to do this, but you've let morons have a microphone. When your leaders and your promoters use lies to promote your cause, make certain you name them and refute their accusations. Otherwise, it makes you all look foolish. Trust me, I know...I go to a Southern Baptist Church...not calling out morons gave us a bad name....same situation with the Tea Party.

JMHO

Can you paste the part where you think they are partisan? The TEA party distrusts the Republican party. The TEA party is holding the Republicans feet to the fire on the budget. You are correct in one thing, there is very little difference in a Republican and Democrat when is comes to politics. The US debt didn't happen overnight or because of one party or the other. I'm sure there are individuls in the TEA party that have differing beliefs on Obama. It doesn't matter to me where he was born, he's keeping that alive because it deflects attention away from his dismal performance. The TEA party is not loyal to any party. The Republican party just happens to come closer to what people in the TEA party believe this country needs. But be assured we would have no problem voting a Republican out of office.

This stuck out as I scanned the page because they put it in bold type..."It is up to us to make sure the Left's attempts to demonize the repeal effort are stymied."

Perusing the page, the only politicians I see mentioned by name are Speaker Boehner, Senator Reid, Senator Schumer and President Obama. I notice one of the four gets the benefit of the doubt...the Republican, Boehner..while the other three do not...Democrats. They are being careful, but not careful enough.

Look, ferrell, you may be really trying to make a difference and believe in the original idea behind Tea Party Patriots. I was excited when I first heard about them. Like I said, it's the nuts that hurt your cause. If the organization wants to grow and be taken seriously, Tea Party Patriots leaders need to address the nuts publicly, refute any inaccurate statements. JMHO

Please do not take my word for it when I tell you that it most certainly is not true. Please do some research and find out the truth for yourself. I don't know if you are a Christian, but if you are, you are responsible for making certain that anything you say/repeat is the truth.

Of course, you could be kidding. Lord knows I hope you are kidding.

Ignorance and racism is alive and well on this board. Why don't you just call him a N*@#er and get it over with.

I couldn't care if he was a Martian, he's the worse thing for this country right now.
