Truth about the Confederate Battleflag by Pastor Weaver
Folks,

The Chattahoochee Guards SCV Camp # 1639 is in the process of raising $3,200 to have 10,000 copies of Pastor John Weaver’s talk on the “Truth about the Confederate Battle Flag” produced on CD. Pastor Weaver’s talk about the history of the Battle Flag, why the War was fought and the Christian origins of the Saint Andrews Cross is one of the most compelling and inspiring talks ever made.
If you would like to listen to the CD, click either High Speed Connection (DSL, cable or satellite) or Dialup modem below:

Truth about the Confederate Battleflag - High Speed version
Truth about the Confederate Battleflag - Dialup version

We believe by having these CDs available at 32 cent each to give to the misinformed (who are interested in learning the truth) will make a positive impact on educating our youth and the public in general. The great thing about CDs is that more people will listen before they will read or research. That’s what will make Pastor Weaver’s message more effective.

The Chattahoochee Guards will provide you or your Camp one copy of the CD for each 32 cents you donate with a minimum donation of $35. We will take no profit. Our purpose in this endeavor is to get the CDs out to the public. For example a donation of $100 equals 312 copies of the CDs. If postage is required it can be deducted from the donation. At 32 cents each the CD is less than a postage stamp and is the most cost efficient way to get the true history of our Heritage out. Please e-mail me back with your pledge amount and sent all donations, made payable to:

Brief Biography of Pastor Weaver:

Pastor John Weaver is a native of Georgia, and a graduate from Bob Jones University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and attended graduate school. He has been in the Christian ministry over 40 years. During that time, he has pastored, and helped plant several churches and Christian schools around the country. Pastor Weaver has traveled across America preaching and lecturing in churches, colleges and conferences.

His knowledge of biblical truth is enlightening and greatly needed. Like Paul, his goal is to preach the whole counsel of God, something that is sadly missing in today's pulpits. He is now engaged in an evangelistic and conference ministry and travels across the country expounding the word of God. He preaches weekly on Sunday in Waycross, Georgia and in Live Oak, Florida. A native of Georgia, Pastor Weaver and his wife have four children and six grandchildren.

Old Fart you may can help me out??I have a civil war diary & my dad never really specified what he wanted done with it.It is very precious to me but im afraid it will get misplaced/lost or just plain forgotten about after im gone. The men were called the "Franklin Blues"at tuscumbia. They went to fort morgan & attached to the 2nd regiment.William(my kin)lost both brothers, andrew was taken prisoner & died at camp douglas after becoming ill.His other brother got the measles & william brought him home where he died shortly after.Almost all his regiment were killed or captured, they camped out a few days at the old fairgrounds near hindsman mill.Fort Donelson, corinth,Bakers creek, battle of Shilo,Vicksburg,Atlanta,Chattanooga, battles of Chickamauga,ga.& Missionary Ridge...You see i cant let this personal & spiritual testiment be lost to time. The only reason he lived when taken prisoner was because he was a doctor. But the most important part to me is what he says after a battle at franklin,tn."I helped with the wounded til about 1am then lay down to try & rest with the dead laying all round me.Early next morning i walked over the ground & such a sight i will never see again. With a sad & down cast heart& overflowing eyes to see so many of my comrades laying here to rise no more".I can read that a million times & i cry every time.Kids today dont understand the deep heartbreak of a battle that pitted cousins, brothers & friends against one another. One last thing i'd like to recount that William said after he got back home~"I often look back over my ups & downs through those trying times.I have always believed that i was shielded & protected by my heavenly Father, from the first i seemed to have a premonition that i would never be wounded or killed.Of all my company i now know of 3 still living out of 80".Im sorry old fart i got carried away,i just meant to give you a brief summary & maybe get some advice. The diary is old(1861?)& it needs to be preserved.I thought because he was from the shoals it should be in the shoals?Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Katherine Forrest K.

Your lack of knowledge of the matter is showing.
Please take the time to get educated about it. It was not entirely the fault of the south.
To say what you are saying is to disrespect all the ones who fought for what they truly believed in, regardless if it were right or wrong. Now if someone wanted to keep the war going then I might be on your side.

Give Deenalynee a break. She probably enjoys the federal government taking her money and giving it to other country's as they try to buy their friends. Pres. Bush paid the taliban 300 million dollars to be our friends just six months before he had to go there and fight them. That's our money he is giving away and that is exactly what that Confederate Battle Flag was fighting against.
