It has just been announced that the Tide linebacker coach, Sal Sunseri will be leaving Alabama to take the defensive coordinator position at Tennessee. Do you think this was a wise career move? After a few bad seasons in a row, do you think Tennessee will be any better next year with their new addition to their coaching staff? And who do you think Alabama should get to fill this position?

****ey has talent but so did Shula but coming from a famous family is no guarantee that success follows.  I think if Tennessee has another bowl-less season then ****ey is on the way out along with whoever is in the Offense and/or defense Coordinator positions.  In fact usually, if the head coach is savvy enough the assistant is sacrificed first.

Interesting how many Tennessee Fans hate Bama but where do they go to get their tallent?  Even their recruiting favors outside the state of Tennessee.  When Phil Fulmer was there and head Coach Tennessee had so many recruits and team members that was from outside the State of Tennessee it was a stretch to call the team the Tennessee Vols.  A look at the roster would show that Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina etc had from 63-70% in state player representation on their teams but Tennessee's percentage of players from in-state (Tennessee) was around 38%.  Hopefully ****ey has changed that.

I can still remember a conversation with a die hard Tennessee fan I worked with when it was announced that Saban was coming to Alabama.  I can't (or won't) put his exact terms but it was something akin to #@&* another decade of domination at the hands of Alabama.  Looks like he was right.

The state of Tennessee simply does not produce enough Div. 1 players year in year out to stock one top flight SEC team. When Fulmer was successful he went nationwide and he had top flight recruiters on staff like Rodney Garner and Trooper Taylor. When the recruiting dips UT can't compete. That said Dooley has pulled in some decent talent but I doubt its enough to satisfy Vol nation. If the Vols go less than 8-4 or lose to all of the big rivals (Bama, Florida, UGA) again its adios Derek in my opinion.

Coach Dooley is a triple first class guy that's been put in a most difficult position.  It has to be double hard after what their basketball coach did to their program--and it's a wonder their B Ball team is as good as they are.

I am very fond of East Tennessee and the fine people I used to do business with (before retiring.)  I always found it hard to keep my mouth shut when traveling up there.

But, I genuinely hate the color orange, and will always despise their college athletics.  I'm sorry, but I was raised by a fan of the "Dancing Academy"--U of A.  My father and I had a hard time with my niece and nephew graduating from UT.

Some of us are just bred to follow certain colleges--if you know what I mean.  Please don't hold it against us.
