There is no such thing as "right or wrong" in being born ANY way, because there is no choice involved. Some people are born with a foot fetish, for example. While that may seem twisted to most folks, as long as the person they are with doesn't mind, what's the big deal? What is wrong is when someone acts on a desire that CAUSES HARM. You DO understand that, but you refuse to acknowledge it. Your desire to stigmatize, condemn, and compare homosexuals to criminals, CAUSES HARM to people who have never done anything to hurt you, so therefore what YOU are doing is wrong.

Once again, I'm not comparing the people, or the heart of the people. I'm simply talking about desires. Sodemy is a crime by the way...I know ya'll keep dodging that. lol
My point is simple, where are you coming up with your moral code of ethics? By laws? It used to be illegal to kill unborn children, now it's as easy and as legal as getting a root canal. Which "law" is correct? Age of sexual consent is/was as low as 13 to 14 years of age in some places, now it's 16 in Alabama and 18 in many other places. Which "law" is correct? Sodemy is illegal in most, if not every state in the country. So is that "law" a bad one in cases of homosexual males?
Once again you have skirted the real issue here. We are told that homosexuals cannot help their sexual desires because that's who they were born as. If you give them the "born that way" pass, then you must be prepared to answer tough questions about all the other "born that way" folks.

And to quote you "No, but you're ACTING on it, so it IS your fault."
So does that mean you believe it's ok to feel that you are a homosexual, but wrong to act on it?

I hate the idiotic use of the word "homophobe". That is the most moronic word I've ever heard in my life. What part of homosexuals or homosexuality am I scared of? That would be none. I'm not afraid of homosexuals(unless they are pointing a gun at me), and I'm not afraid of one day becoming a homosexual....like I said, that's an idiotic word. Look up the definition of "phobia" and rethink your choice of words, because that one is stupid.
And I also love how you took the time to post and insult me and Tool there, but couldnt take that same time to answer a simple question.

Well if you are not in fear of homo's, then you are certainly full of hate! That is a crime!

You are right, Bigot is better word.
Peter, not only don't you know how to spell it, but you are obviously unaware (although you have been told before) that there are NO sodOmy laws in the United States anymore.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S...in_the_United_States

You also refuse to acknowledge that I and most others on this forum have told you REPEATEDLY that our "moral code" is simply to do NO HARM to others.

You, sir, are an idiot. Read the responses here again. No one here LIKES you except Tool. (What great company for you to be in!) The reason nobody likes you is simple. WE believe in DOING NO HARM. YOU on the other hand, want to interfere in the lives of people you know nothing about, you want to see them thrown in jail. You want them to go to Hell.

YOU are a hateful, evil person.

ROLMMFAO!!!! That was one of the best posts I've ever seen!!! Kudos to you O!! LMAO!!!

Once again, you are the only one spewing venom, I've never stated that any particular homosexual or homosexuals in general are "bad people". Ya'll just don't like my simple, common sense questions that go along with ya'll's defense of the lifestyle as "ok". Folks like you pick and choose what is ok, what is moral, then cast judgement of an evil person onto folks like me who don't agree with you. That's asinine and pathetic. You hate your own view on this because you have no valid answer to my "born that way" questions. You continually bring up "harm no one" junk, but that's NOT MY QUESTION. So, if you'd like to take a stab at my ACTUAL question go for it. Otherwise you can continue to make yourself look foolish for attacking me with an answer to a question I didn't ask.

As for your wiki page... save it. I meant to everytime, but if not I apoligize. I was stating that sodomy "IS/WAS" illegal. So which law was right and which was wrong and why? To fit your agenda? Like I asked earlier, sexual consent laws used to sink pretty low in age and now are typically higher. But it's 16 here in Alabama and 18 in most other places... Which one is right? You are the one playing semantics games with laws because you want to pick and choose the ones that make you feel better about causing "no harm". My original point on this is and has been the same. Why is it ok for someone to have the desire for unnatural sex if it's simply adult man w man/woman w woman... UNLESSSSSSS they are brothers... or UNLESSSS they are father and son. If someone has the desire to have sex with an animal, you'd call them sick whether they did it or not. But what if in a tear filled confession they told you, "I can't help what I feel. I know they say it's sick and unnatural, but I was born with this attraction and I can't quit being me." I don't know your feelings on the Bible, or maybe I do but can't remember if it's you I'm thinking of or not, but it's pretty clear on this issue. But even if you don't believe the Bible, then explain how anatomy books have gotten this SO WRONG FOR SO LONG!!! I mean seriously, it's like pullin your car into the gas station and puttin gas in your tail pipe when there's a perfectly good spot that was built for the nozzle...It makes no sense. Wink

Actually.. look up the definition of that... O No! fits that word better. Wink

As for the "read between the lines"... you obviously read wrong. I'm simply posing a very simple question as to the "feelings" of different folks in terms of sexual attraction. Juan actually answered me with a straight up answer earlier and I praised that person for it. I disagreed whole heartedly with them, but at least they didn't dodge the question. Go back and find my question as to the "feelings" of being born with certain desires. It all fits in the "unnatural" relm of feelings in terms of sexual functions of human beings to one extent or another..yet homosexuality is the only one that gets a pass. That's odd to me and I was just wondering why?

Peter,

I think it’s a given; if one is an atheist candidate, nothing is considered un-natural.

If you will notice it is them that always dwell on things like zoophiles, pedophiles and perverted sex between same sexes.

Most gays will admit that certain things are perverted and they do not practice these things.

blue tick, I’ve never owned a blue tick but have had many Walkers and a few redbones all ‘straight cooners’.

It is because of that fond memory I will explain once more the atheist candidate.

First premise:

At any given time there can never be more than one atheist observed as such due to’ thought is a system’.

David Bohm a famous physicist recognized that your thoughts, my thoughts all became a part of a system which forever effected in small ways the outcome of decisions society as a whole may make good or bad.

Second premise:

Even though there exists the possibility that at some point the system might allow for an atheist the probability is infinitely small and can be discarded.

Result:

Candidates remain in a confused state never %100 convinced there is NO God.

Therefore no atheist. Only candidates.
blue,

In any endeavor, 100% certainty is impossible. Will the Sun rise in the East tomorrow? Very likely, but the world might be destroyed tonight by a huge meteor, making the concept moot. We can say that the Sun's rising in the East is 99.9....% likely, but there are no guarantees.

This is honesty.

Faith in god requires 100% certainty. Not only that, but it requires 100% certainty in something for which there is no evidence. This is dishonesty.

It is this infinitesimal difference in confidence that defines the difference between atheist and theist. But, as small as the degree of confidence is, remember that the atheist is 99% certain there is no god, and the theist is 100% certain there is.

Honesty is the difference.

We're all entitled to our confidences, but we are not entitled to subjective truths. Atheists are willing to be proven wrong. Theists are not, since any sort of proof is irrelevant to them.

One must, therefor, conclude that atheists are honest in our outlook, while theists are not. They would require evidence for NO god, which is unlikely, and philosophically impossible.

All we atheists ask is evidence for god. There is none. Every responsibility the ancients attributed to god is now addressed by nature. There is no reason for god. No evidence, no conclusions, no good argument.

Very queer that so many people still believe in an invisible, silent god that tolerates the harshness of human existence, considering we were "made in his image". I suppose god has malaria.
