"Therapy" for anti-gay comments?

He needs more than therapy. A nice kick in the butt or slap in the face would be a good start. Of all people, African-Americans should understand the harm of calling people deragatory names. Washington should be ashamed of himself and all this so-called therapy is only an attempt to save his fledging career.

I've used the term he used several times in my lifetime, but it has always been in a joking way with friends. I've never called a known gay person by that name. (can I type it here? will the censors catch it? does it need to be censored?) I think of lot of the terms that once were "reserved" for making fun of different groups are used more often now. If someone does something stupid, someone might say "That is so gay". In no way are they calling the person a homosexual, or making fun of homosexuals. Language evolves.

Was Washington name calling target a gay person? Thing is, if he had called him an idiot, a retard, or an S.O.B. this never would have made the news.

In Hollywood, any appearance of intolerance toward certain groups, such as gays, can get you blackballed. Washington could be spending the rest of his life doing summer theatre in Zip City.

Therapy lends legitimacy and weight to one's contrition.

By the way, criticism of certain groups, such as Republicans does not require contrition, **** less therapy. It's practically required.

I hear they are coming out with a pill that you take 2 times a day that will keep you from being gay. check with your doctor soon and get more info. your Ins. will not cover the cost.LOL

Homosexual lifestyle is not normal. It is not normal for a man to have sex with another man, or for a woman to have sex with another woman.

Gays, lesbians, fudge-packers, muffin divers, transvestites, etc. do not deserve any special rights as they already have the same rights as I have. Marriage is for a man and a woman to create a family for raising of children. Two men or Two women can't naturally conceive, either. I think anyone who thinks unnaturally needs therapy, not the other way around. The decisions they make include 2nd and 3rd order of effects. They should have thought about it first before deciding to live like that. I have no pity for them, neither do I have respect for them, nor do I like it when they intrude and force others via ACLU, etc. to make common folk "accept" them. I do not accept their their lifestyle.

The above are MY words and I am sticking to it.

The only therapy needed was his mama washing out his mouth with soap when he was a kid. Not PC, just good manners.

Although I agree with every word you typed in that reply, and even the Bible says that... I have to say that I have learned diversity... Diversity is that big word that people who are PC uses to mean they put up with it because they cannot change it, so they just more or less ignore it.

He didn't say anything about 'left-wingers' being gay. His statements are accurate. For the most part, liberals lean more towards therapy and rehab while conservatives lean more towards punishment of "offenses".

Personally I think being gay is as much a choice as cheating on your wife. People do it because they want to do it.

I will admit, I do form opinions very quickly. Do child molesters or rapist have a choice in what they do, some claim they don't. But, I'm not a big fan of psychiatry so I don't trust much they tell me either.

BUT, it is a subject that no one can do anything about, it cannot be changed, and over time, the younger generations have been so acclimated to it that it is the norm for them....

I USED to believe in that motto.... but now that we have decided we are the WORLD's police, and we have decided who can and who cannot get good medical care... and all this other stuff... then how can we live by that motto anymore?
