Hi Chick,
While you are right that there is nothing ethically wrong with a person changing his/her posting name; why do it? If a person has not been banned; which I am sure Jennifer has not -- and, since she has used her real name all this time -- what purpose is served by changing it now? It only adds confusion, as you have shown by asking your question.
For as long as I can remember -- you have only been Chick. And, for almost five years, I have only been Bill Gray. Yes, I got banned for a week several years ago for a dispute I had with Fish; but, I just took a one week rest and then came back again as my old self.
But, I will never understand why a person wants to keep changing posting names when it only adds confusion and accomplishes nothing. I know there have been a few who will add additional posting names when no one will agree with them. So, they add a new name, or two or three, and agree with themselves. Several members have been notorious about doing this.
Yet, the new posting name/names cannot cover the writing style, personality, and spelling/punctuation of most members. So, the cover is blown as soon as the "new" member begins to type. Therefore, why bother? What did Jennifer accomplish after all this time -- by becoming Bestworking?
Just curious. Personally, I have never felt the need to post under any name except my real name.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
