The funny part is if you go to the page and look on the right-hand side, you will see this:

Learn to be a Psychic in 10 Easy Lessons

Psychic readings and fortunetelling are an ancient art — a combination of acting and psychological manipulation. While some psychics are known to cheat and acquire information ahead of time, these ten tips focus on what is known as “cold reading” — reading someone “cold” without any prior knowledge about them.
Hi all,

This is the same clown, Michael Shermer, who started the "Blasphemy Challenge" last year asking vulnerable young people to make a video of themselves denying God -- and post it on YouTube.

If you will read down on the web page Buffalo posted, you will find:

17. Explore new frontiers for skepticism.

* Avoid preaching to the choir. Publish skeptical articles where (Skeptic) believers will encounter them.
* Consider publishing in “women’s” magazines and pro-paranormal magazines.
* The science fiction community and geek culture are fertile ground for skeptical outreach.

Besides not liking young people and God -- it would seem that Mr. Shermer also does not think very highly of women, seeing them as "easy targets" for his evangelism. Nor does he think very highly of those into science fiction and what he calls "geeks" -- finding them also easy targets for his evangelism.

And, keep in mind that Michael Shermer is a hero to our atheist Friends. What can I say?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

We all know Bill's easily confused, so I won't accuse him of lying about the Blasphemy Challenge, but it was not Dr. Shermer who started that. It was the Rational Response Squad, and it was about four years ago.

Hi Deep,

I am just curious. You capitalize the name of "Dr. Shermer" -- but, would not capitalize the name of Buffalo. Why? Is that your way of showing your disdain for fellow Forum members?

You are right and I was wrong. Shermer was not the founder of the Blasphemy Challenge. That was Brian Sapient, an alias used for anonymity. Shermer is just a run-of-the-mill atheist.

But, what always amazes me is that atheists believe so strongly in their religion -- yet, when they go on public forums to evangelize people to their religion -- they always hide behind pseudonyms, phony names, as does Sapient -- and Deep. Why? If atheists believe that strongly in their religion -- why are you ashamed of it.

If you say it is because you do not want people to get angry with you -- then, why do you preach it? I recall that Fish always hid behind a pseudonym and would not even go to a TD Forums Meet & Greet party. He told us he was afraid to use his own name -- and was adamant about not meeting anyone from the Forums even for coffee to talk. Several local members offered to meet him for coffee -- and he ran the other way.

Personally, I have been on the Forums for almost four years -- and I have always used my own name and never used a pseudonym. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- and proudly proclaim it. If atheists are not ashamed of their religion -- why hide when preaching it?

And, if you say it is because folks will not like you, get mad at you, call you names -- tell me about it!

So, Deep, yes, it has been several years since Sapient, et al, went after the youth -- to lure them away from Christianity and into the waiting arms of the atheist religion. Back then, I wrote an article which I posted on the TimesDaily Forums and also on The Conservative Voice. A reader on The Conservative Voice posted a response where he outed Brian Sapient by posting his real name. Sapient was furious and sent me an e-mail demanding that I post a retraction. I told him that I had not written that response post -- and, if he has a bone to pick -- he should contact that person. Never heard from him again.

Sorry for the confusion, Deep.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I do it in retaliation to folk who do not capitalize God the Creator.

P.S. Pup, you might want to run over to the skeptic link in my post. Since you have the authority to put satellites in orbit you might not want to be associated with these atheist candidates. Just a thought.lol

Thanks Bro Bill for being my buddy here.

I’ve always held you in high esteem.

Question:

Are you saying this Brian guy was sherrner?

Please in digest form elaborate on this blasphemy college.

I remember skeptic/uno blaspheming the Holy Spirit “for our entertainment”.

Skeptic/uno thus posted:

“I 've decided to damm my own soul for your entertainment, and, perhaps, prevent Brother Bloviator from further attempts to call me to god.

According to another thread, there are unforgivable sins that, once committed, damm your soul to eternal hell with no chance of redemption.

This notion seem to come mostly from the book of Mark. According to Mark (3:28-29) "Truly I say unto you, All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter: but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin."

So, according to this scripture, if I utter the incantation "I deny the Holy Spirit," then my soul shall be condemned forever and perhaps Brother Bloviator will stop pestering me about getting saved.

It is exactly 8:33am on February 17th. Those of you who wish to save my poor soul have 24 hours to do so. If you fail, I shall utter the incantation at this time tomorrow morning thereby sealing my fate forever.”

Hi Buffalo,

No, Shermer and Sapient are not the same person. Sapient is a pseudonym of another atheist who started the Blasphemy Challenge -- but, did not want to darken his real name with this atheist effort. So, he used a phony name. One of the responders to my article in The Conservative Voice outed him and he got mad at me. Not my fault. I had no idea this was not his real name.

Shermer is another atheist in an organization called Skeptic.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

A closet atheist? LOLOLOL. Oh bill, you are so full of it. Is Bill Gray your real name?

Hi Jennifer,

While I realize that you cannot accept that an atheist can be a "closet atheist" -- this is true. Brian Sapient is not his real name; but, is a pseudonym. Why would he use a phony name to start the Blasphemy Challenge? Why would he get so upset when a person responds to my article on The Conservative Voice and outs him? Why would he do either of these -- if he was not, as you called it, a "closet atheist"?

And, yes, Bill Gray is my real name. Born in Tuscumbia, raised in Sheffield -- played varsity basketball for SHS and graduated from Sheffield High in 1955 -- and still have a lot of family and friends in the Shoals area. Many are on my Friends Ministry eNewsletter mail list; would you like to join them?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Haha Bro. Bill,

It’s hard to picture you and deep fat from the same school and town.

You two have come a long way from stealing hubcaps for a living in Sheffield.

Hi Buffalo,

Actually, I cut grass (with a hand mower), collected soda and beer bottles along the highways for recycling, delivered newspapers (Birmingham News; Deep did the lighter, easier TriCity Daily), was one of three male car hops at the drive-in owned by Mr. Lansdale at the "Y" between Sheffield and Tuscumbia, and worked at Liberty Super Market.

Then, in June 1955, I went to work for Big Daddy in the Air Force. But, for some reason, I never thought of the hub cap angle. I guess I was too dumb to think of the easy money route.

Of course, I can't speak for Deep on the hub cap game.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Probably to keep the "christians" from coming to his house. I think some "christians" could get violent. If you were born in a hospital you weren't born in Tuscumbia. I was born in Sheffield and raised in Tuscumbia.

Hi Jennifer,

If I were going to worry about anyone getting violent -- I do believe I would look at the non-believers first. Why? Most Christians do have a restrainer, called the Holy Spirit, living within them. While the non-believer just goes with the flow of the world.

I have been doing Christian writing for over 20 years -- and I have never felt a need to hide behind a phony name. Why should atheists? Unless they are ashamed of what they preach.

Regarding my birth -- I was actually born in Tuscumbia, in a part of town called Sugar Hill, and brought into this world by a midwife. In the 1980s, when I needed to get a passport to travel on business to England -- I had to send to Montgomery for my birth certificate. When it arrived, I was surprised and got a kick out of it. Where the certificate calls for the physician's signature -- there is only an "X" -- and someone else wrote in "for Susie McDaniel - her mark." This makes my birth certificate really unique.

But, I wonder why Obama has never been able to find his birth certificate.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill
