That means none of us are perfect, no not one man, nor one woman living today. If I was the judge at the end, my biggest question would not be about your sins, but how you treated your fellow man and woman.

Hi Blues,

You are right that none of us, regardless of who we are, are perfect. Only one man has ever been perfect; for He was perfect man and He was God. But, God gives us a way to avoid punishment for the many sins we commit daily; we can be attributed the righteousness of Jesus Christ -- if we, by grace through faith, believe in Him. Then His righteousness covers us so completely that God does not see our sinful nature.

You say, "If I was the judge at the end, my biggest question would not be about your sins, but how you treated your fellow man and woman."

No, God will ask only how you treated His Son; did you have a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. For if one truly has a relationship with Jesus Christ; he will also love and respect his fellow man.

The web site you recommend makes me nervous. Any web site which calls itself Christian should absolutely have two things: (1) it should tells us who the person, or persons, is who is writing the information on that web site, and (2) it should have the Biblical doctrinal beliefs of that ministry. Any ministry who will not tell you these two things; I do not consider to be Christian; at least not it is not displaying Christian credentials.

First of all, anyone who is telling you, "This is what the Bible says" must tells us more; they must identify themselves and what guides their teaching, i.e., a Biblical doctrinal statement. This site had neither.

Romans 1:16 tells us, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, . . ."

Whoever built this web site seems to be ashamed of the Gospel and ashamed to identify themselves.

To me that web site is useless.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I thought it was interesting. Some of the things it listed I've always been taught to be a sin. But, some of them I'd never heard of. I did think it odd though that there was nowhere on the site that told who wrote any of the information.
2 CORINTHIANS CH.4 1-5 / 1Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

This message above is a part why we speak the way we do. It is not to bash others which have a life style different than our own. But because we have given our lives over to a greater power that requires us to speak out against the ways of the world. To be enlightened you first have to hear, to believe you have to be open to the fact that there just might be a God that has set all things in motion for the greater of his good; including a sexual preference. Some Christians such as I might ask how could God use the sexual preference of people for his greater good? Well this forum is a good example. You see all things happen for a reason. I stumbled onto this site here and it has lead me to other web sites and discussion boards where almost the very same thing is being talked about but in greater depth. I continue to speak the same truths here and I also get to deliver Gods word to others in those places. So by saying this, I now see that I get to teach, preach and speak to others about Christ and his soon return because I just happened upon a homosexual discussion . In return; maybe just maybe one soul might read and begin to think about giving his or her life over to God. I will never change my view or let anyone influence my way of thinking because honestly, all I have to live for is serving my creator. I love my children and my wife, & my family knows that I love them all but truthfully God is my strength even in times of temptation. I think ahead in time and not only for the here and now which so many of us do today and I see a hope. Because of the views I believe in and the lessons I have learned, I have a hope that some day I get to rest in Eternity of happiness with my Creator and with other family members that just possibly have crossed over to Glory. What hope do you have in your current life style? Do you just want to die and never have life anymore? Do you not want to have the hope that you will see your God fearing, loving Grandmother or Grandfather and other family that have passed on? You see being a Christian and having Christian hopes and beliefs are not about not having fun but in fact they are about living a good and wholesome life now and in the afterlife. I have a hope and a passion for things, but it is a hope and a passion for not only a good life here but also for a great life beyond the grave. If you think I have written anything here to bash anyone, I have not, I only speak to those who will listen and will give their life over to a greater purpose; one that is not of their own. For I have nothing to gain for another persons salvation, but I do have all to gain for following the ways of the Lord.

If you would like to know how; this is the way. You simply ask the Lord to come into your heart and mean it, speak to him like he is your best friend. Let Him know that you have issues in your life that most people do not condone or understand but you are willing to learn the right way of doing things. Tell the Lord that you would rather have a hope in him than to not have a hope at all and just trust that he will show you the way. It is that simple. But you must remember that you will be tempted, but the temptation is not the condemning thing it is the act of going through with the temptation that condemns. Read Gods word everyday and no matter how unbelievable you think it is; trust that it is real and true not because of hell and the devil but also because of all the great promises God has in it for those who trust and believe in Him.

God bless you all and have a great day.

Sex is the big no no in the area whether it is same-sex or straight and it only matters if you are caught! But you let a church goer wait 5 minutes too long in a restaurant after church on Sunday, and the hostility is palpable! I have seen some of the ugliest behavior after church on Sundays!
Oh, one more thing. People often ask or make the statement about Jesus teaching Love your neighbor & etc... The answer to this is simple (YES)... However, Jesus told a prostitute that all her sins were forgiven and to go and sin no more. See this person wasn't condemned but the lifestyle she was living was, if she had not turned from her ways then she would have been condemned in the end. He still loved her but not the ways of her life. Another thing that people who are not or do not have the Christian beliefs often say the following; Judge not lest ye be judged. This is taken out of context just about more than any other scripture from the bible. People use it to justify their lifestyle and or sin if you will. But the truth behind this statement "Judge not lest ye be judged, for what measure you judge there shall you be judged also" is this; It was said to Christ followers who were judging others for the same exact thing that they were doing! Paul wrote this to let them know that before you can tell someone else about their faults, then you must not be doing the same as them. You must live your life according to the Word and that word is Christ! Further more if man was not appointed to judge we would not have men and women overseeing murder cases and rape cases and the such. So yes; judgement is meant for man but in context, for without judgement there would be a lawless society. Men are not to be hauty over another but are to help convince about the light which is Jesus Christ.

God bless.

you are right, a lot of times church goers show their worldly side just like the rest of the world, however one thing separates them from others; they are trying to get their life right with God and it is a constant battle to control our stupidity because we all are human. Trusting in God is the one thing we can do to help get rid of our sinful ways. We are not perfect but we are trying! That is the whole point of these conversations; but those who are blind can not or refuse to see!

We do agree on that - church goers are trying. A lot of non-church goers are trying, too. Maybe churches should give their people a snack between class and the church service? I hear some are doing just that!

Well it doesn't surprise me that you can find Bible verses to justify you sticking your nose in someone else's business. You have a right to your beliefs but to me it is all a bunch of hot air and you are wasting your time preaching to me. I know in my heart that I am perfectly happy and content (and I might add spiritual) living with my partner and I don't believe loving anyone is a sin. I follow my heart, not a book that was written and re-written hundreds of years ago to satisfy the authors and rulers of the day.

David, that is the best statement that I have read on this topic. If more people would just think for theirselves and not let others brainwash them, this world would be a better place. Stay happy not everyone is judging you and the others don't amount to a hill of beans.

When you put and others put out things such as this you open the door for public response. Whether from Christian or not you open the door for opinion whether it is condoning or condemning, after all this is a public place and freedom of speech is allowed with a little censoring of course. I still say God bless each and everyone of you. Have a great week.
